We need a leader at QB. Facts. You think this team plays like they did yesterday if we have Hurts or Fromm or someone like that? Not a chance. We need a leader at QB who makes everyone around him better. We don't have it. We don't. And until we find that guy, we're going to continue to stink. We need a Baker Mayfield type. I really hope that Bailey is that guy and he sticks with his commitment.

I think it says a lot that JG has rarely (if ever) been the captain for a game (I haven't seen him be captain). The QB should be the captain every game in my opinion. He's one of 2 people to touch the ball on every snap (not including special teams).

Pruitt is safe for now. I can’t say that for the rest of the coaching staff. If not for their personal relationship, Will Friend wouldn’t be here. And people close to Pruitt are telling him not to let loyalty to assistants be their downfall. Barring major improvements, atsome point in the next year, Friend and Rocker will probably be gone. The oline juggling was a joke. Hence the removal of the “or” from the week 2 depth chart.

So you're saying the coaching staff told whoever edits that silly depth chart to remove the "or" sometime between Saturday and today? That was on their to do list? Give me a break dude

Which is what you are doing. Think about it, why in the **** would we pay a guy to come here to stab our current head coach in the back?
That’s not what I’m saying at all - maybe should have worded it differently.

He wasn’t brought in to replace Pruitt. Not by any stretch. He was brought in to help him. We paid a lot of money for that protection - not easy to get that kind of assistant money approved.

What I’m saying is that people are saying, should it go poorly this season, to give Chaney a shot to right the ship.

The best thing UT fans can do is put a lid on it until next Saturday, then fill the stadium and support the hell out of this team. Give people who're paid a lot of money the chance to address issues and fix problems and see what they can do. Trashing the AD, UT admin and the university, hating on players, calling for heads to roll and fans to empty Neyland does nothing to help and much to hurt.

Recruits are reading and hearing all of this. It's bad enough-- no gain in making it worse.

Booom!

Following the loss, Guarantano said that he his “disgusted” with the outcome and will not “sugarcoat” Tennessee’s performance.
“I definitely put the weight on my shoulders when it comes to wins and losses, so I definitely could have played better,” Guarantano said. “There were some things that I could have done. I could have made more plays. There’s a lot of things to learn from this game.”

Yeah, that's different and maybe I misunderstood you.

The only reason to have Chaney continue would be due to saving something on his buyout IMO. If Jim Chaney is our answer as a HC then we are ducked harder than if we just kept Dooley IMO.

If only they didn’t suck so much we wouldn’t have to talk about this

Seemed innocuous to many, but I had a hunch that fit he threw 2017 GT game told me something.

Hmmm

Not sure what else anyone expected him to say

If anything, all the negative talk that the coach and players are hearing should re enlighten them to what type of fan base they have behind them. Yes, it’s sucks to hear us grumble and Moan cause the team played poorly, but if we talk this much when things are bad. Then just think how much noise/support we will give once
The team starts winning again. That’s what I’d tell my team anyway.

Having to fire your coach in year 2 makes every scenario a bad one. Lol.

Chaney has a lot of friends in Knoxville. I believe if a change were made it would almost be mandatory that the new HC kept him on. Which brings on its own set of issues.

Above all; I don’t believe there would be a true coaching search if all this happens.

I’m sorry im not following what you mean. They removed the or because they’re removing the shuffling.

Is that what they said at the donor meeting today?
