So with 12min to go and an 11 pt lead ND has snapped the ball in back to back plays with over 20seconds on the play clock

I’ll be damned if I’ll ever understand this style of football

It’s going to be irritating if we look totally incompetent this weekend but win like a 10-9 slugfest.

Winning is better than losing, sure. But it does nothing for us moving forward.

We need to see real progress - not just get a result.
I agree in a general sense but winning a poorly played game against Ga St. while it doesnt exude confidence and would have rightly drawn a fair bit of criticism, is very different than losing it.

Winning an ugly game Sat will not put people back on the train either nor should it. But the progress I wanted to see before Sat happened was later in the schedule and those games are result driven at this point. Saturday is over and it didnt recalibrate what should be expected in a 2nd season.

Pruitt just took a difficult situation and made it more difficult for that reason.

Just finished to Big Orange Sunday...sounded like alot of our issues are fixable.
1. #13 and #23 do not belong out there. Play Crouch, Banks, and To'oto'o they can actually make some plays.
2. Big decision with JG. Missed several reads, the slide, and the CB Blitz. Also he showed no "fire" Mathews did say that maybe he just had a bad game. Obviously, Cheney knows what he has in Mauer and Shrout, one way or the other.
3. Cheney has to call a better game, but Mathews says he can/will.
4. Gotta feature Chandler, fumbles or not, he's our bell cow. Gray is too much of a liability on blitz pickups.
5. This is probably the biggest...team has to play with heart/passion

I think Mathews can be too Sunshine Pumper at times. But his comments did improve my outlook for the season, somewhat.
