It’s according to PFF. They count any player 2-7 yards off the ball and not lined up over a WR as some type of LB. sometimes their stats are flawed bc Nigel warrior could be lined up over a TE 5 yards off and they would log that play as him as a LB.I’d assume that counts guys like Taylor in pass coverage which i know is part of this defense but is still hard to swallow
Just finished to Big Orange Sunday...sounded like alot of our issues are fixable.
1. #13 and #23 do not belong out there. Play Crouch, Banks, and To'oto'o they can actually make some plays.
2. Big decision with JG. Missed several reads, the slide, and the CB Blitz. Also he showed no "fire" Mathews did say that maybe he just had a bad game. Obviously, Cheney knows what he has in Mauer and Shrout, one way or the other.
3. Cheney has to call a better game, but Mathews says he can/will.
4. Gotta feature Chandler, fumbles or not, he's our bell cow. Gray is too much of a liability on blitz pickups.
5. This is probably the biggest...team has to play with heart/passion
I think Mathews can be too Sunshine Pumper at times. But his comments did improve my outlook for the season, somewhat.

I listened to the replay of the Big Orange Hotline from earlier Monday night. The crew is Bob Kesling, Pat Ryan, and Jeff Francis. This is the Vol Network.
They said the reason the guys aren’t playing fast on defense is the coaches have them thinking too much. They said the misalignment issues are directly tied to running players on and off the field at an unprecedented pace. The guys don’t have time to even know what the play call is. They barely have time to run out there and line up somewhere.
Pat and Jeff both agreed that the offensive line rotation and position shuffling was “mind-blowing”. It might not be so bad if you were rotating guys at the same position. It would still be bad and Jeff said it definitely has an effect on a QB. What was dumbfounding was swapping guys at different positions throughout the game.
They were disappointed in the apparent lack of improvement in Guarantano.
For the most part I think they, without bluntly saying so, attributed the fiasco primarily to coaching. Again guys, this is the Vol Network. My takeaway from the show was Bob, Pat, and Jeff probably spend way too much time on VolNation. jmo.
for me it has to do with finding some sort of mental edge. It doesn't seem to be coming from our HC, which is a problem in its own right. If we don't find it in a QB idk where else it comes from. Grasping at straws more than anything...supes sads dudeThe moxie QB train is overhyped for me. JG is currently there beat we have. It is what it is.
Anyone else coming in and beating their chest while throwing 3 picks behind this OL is not going to help you
Booing midgame for not going for 4th down on our own side of the field, talking about boycotting after Ark 2015, boycotting late 2017 and pushing Cade away, etc. Didn't help with the coaching search. I agree we are passionate and supportive almost always, but thing get sour and rather than doubling down on our fandom and cheering twice as hard, we too often shrivel up and shoot ourselves in the foot, giving into a self-fulfilling prophecy. What have the fans done for the past 10 years?
Ya, run before @nicksjuzunk gets here, Hillbilly
