It won't matter. The judge just has to ask one simple question and Jaylon is in trouble. Once the person left was there anything that impeded your ability to shut your door and lock it and call the police. If the answer is no, then there is no defending the agg assault charge.
That's why if you're going to lie about it, you say you followed him to see what was up and he swung on you. Defending yourself, you hit him once, and only once. It's reasonable pursuit then self-defense if that's the story you present.

Observations are not judgements.

And your unchecked notifications are ruining everyone else's VN experience.

That’s part of the reason his LSU game thread was banished to no man’s land. Punishment.

@Freak, could we get a nap forum so the senior citizens have a place to take a nappy nap so they aren't so cranky in the afternoons? TIA.

Thank you. I just believe that justice helps more people get to grace than excusing behavior because everyone has done it. Seen too many go down that road.
I have not excused anyone's behavior. I've said straight out (to you, I believe) that this doesn't have to be an either/or situation where someone has to be right.

If the drunk kid broke the law, and justice is needed, then by all means rally to get him in jail. IF he was assaulted at the top of the stairs by a UT football player, that player needs to be in jail.

I'm not sure if you're arguing for vigilante justice to lead to grace, but if you are, it's a hell of an argument if we're both discussing the same definition and source of grace.

I doubts he answers in here. You probably need to go to the off topic thread and ask, then wait there for an answer.

After reading the report that was posted here. It seems like the drunk realized who hit him and decided he wanted a pay day

Another great point 😂😂 how do you know who hit you exactly if you’re strangers “intoxicated” apparently this guy is better than all of us drunk… definitely not adding up.

Folks need to set their football wishes aside and look at this as rational people. Imagine you have an adult son who'd drank a bit too much, accidentally went into the wrong apartment, apologized, something...something, said "You don't need to be a dick about it", left... And someone followed him out after the need for any escalation at all, punched him down a flight of stairs and smashed his teeth out.

I'm not even saying this is what happened. I'm just saying that it's pretty sick to see people excusing this activity and calling to lie to the cops because they want an average safety back on the field for the Bama game.
Why should we be rational? We're Vol fans. We don't have to be rational. Why are you being such a nega-vol??

Reprehensible to punch someone that busted up in your house? You gotta be f'n kidding me...that is pure 🦬💩. Any real MAN would do that in the heat of the moment.

Do you really think he meant to knock him down a set of stairs to try and kill him?...come on man.

Virtue signaling 🦬💩....I ain’t that virtuous...maybe you are, or maybe you're something else.
"...busted up in your house..." isn't the report we're discussing here. But thanks anyway.

If he apologized and left, then no. It's not.

Geez Us people. It's an apartment complex. This stupid **** happens all the time. I got drunk when I was 19 and walked into the wrong apartment at 1 am. The person inside helped me find my way to the right apartment and asked my friends to take care of me since I was obviously not in a state to take care of myself.

My daughters were raised to look for people like that to have in their lives.
Are you Jim Bob Cooter???!
