Injuries are key and nobody here counts them into their expectations. I do, but I am one of the only ones. This is a thin roster...just a few injuries at key spots and we are struggling to win 7.

I think most know that. But I don't expect to lose key guys before the season starts. I mean if hooker or the defensive ends or banks, tilmam... Guys like that were not on this team, I think most would have different expectations.
But we do right now so no need to adjust.

A lot of peoples expectations are stupid.

I don’t do predictions, but I like to look at the season as 3 four game Acts. I reevaluate expectations based off injuries etc (as well as other teams performances) going into that next 4 game section.

I’d say this year 8-4 is success.

Means we beat South Carolina, Kentucky, Vandy, Ball State, Missouri, UT Martin, Akron, and then one of FL, Pitt, and LSU.

I agree. But I'd sure like to get 2 of this three.

Spent the offseason losing weight and getting a better job. Down 52 pounds and up one Director role. Hope everyone had a great offseason, but its game week now. GBO!!!!

It’s acceptable. It’s not success. Means we aren’t actually better. Probably got a Pitt who lost a lot and that’s the only difference from last year.

I am with you. I am extremely happy at 9-3 and just meh at 8-4. When you look at the totality of the schedule (Florida new coach…LSU new coach) and the fact the teams we consider our rivals are in more talent rich states we have to strike now.

The silver lining is we will know after the first 5 games what kind of season it will be.

Yes. its not only that I expect us to be better, but our schedule is favorable. Why should Kelly and Sun belt billy beat us in year 1? They shouldn’t. Certainly Pitt, whom we should’ve beaten last year, won’t beat us when they lost everything that made them good

His "deep ball issues" absolutely sucked. And he did not just have "deep ball issues"...he also had bad issues seeing wide open guys.

If you go back and watch his limited playing time with an even minded approach, it’s not nearly as bad as you think right now. His deep ball misses we’re certainly egregious, but otherwise, he wasn’t nearly as bad as you’re thinking…at least from my review.

I'm surprised people are willing to pay $9.99/mo for a forum, but aren't willing to pay $5/mo to Spyre. . . something that actually helps the team.

There isn't a thread about it on TOS, but. . . we had a Spyre thread in the FF here and several posters were adamant that they would not donate a single penny to any NIL collective. . . I recognize at least a few of those screen names on TOS and most of them seem to be longtime members of TOS.

Anyway, just a little rant. . . thought it was a bit strange.
