Texas transfer offensive tackle
Andrej Karic is in town and arrived on Thursday. He is set to leave later today and will take more visits in our opinion before he makes a decision.
After he leaves town, Tennessee will host Rhode Island transfer offensive tackle
Ajani Cornelius this weekend for about 24 hours. Cornelius will also have a short trip to Ohio State as one of the hottest names currently in the portal.
South Carolina transfer tailback
Marshawn Lloyd is someone that Tennessee has spoke with this week. Lloyd isn’t looking to make a quick decision based off sources we have talked to late in the week. Tennessee hasn’t been too active in looking for running backs but the Maryland native is someone that has gotten the interest of the staff to at least have a conversation and see what he is thinking. If he is to visit it will be in early January.
RaRa Thomas was supposed to be here this weekend but Tennessee wanted him to come in January. Thomas could obviously do something before things reopen on January 4 but it certainly feels like they want to push things down the road and see where they are at that position.
Oregon transfer
Dont’e Thornton is planning on a visit in January and so expect him to be here sometime soon after things open back up. We spoke to him briefly this week, and he is clearly interested in Tennessee and doesn’t appear to be leaning any particular way at this point.
Defensively, Arizona State transfer defensive lineman
Omar Norman Lott got a visit from Rodney Garner this week and we could see him visiting in January. Norman-Lott went into the portal last spring and then came back out. He had spoken with Garner then and so it’s not surprising to see them reach back out this time around.
So to recap, while the Vols haven’t been super active, expect the 4th through the 9th of January to see movement one way or the other.
