With our history…. I don’t know if we should judge players on driving drunk…. Leonard Little…. Goodrich…. And Stallworth are some pretty messed up situations.

I have yet to kill anybody while driving drunk. I plan on to keep judging other people who do it.

I guess that's what I'm asking. And I am ASKING.

First, he didn't transport a murder weapon any more than I'd transported a murder weapon when I took my brother his pistol. In this case, it became a murder weapon AFTER (I'll join in the all caps) the gun left his control. And he didn't deliver it to the scene of a crime. It became the scene of a crime after the gun left his control.

I agree this is terribly sad and should have never happened.

I agree that the way Bama has handled this has been a bad look.

I agree the player in question has handled it looking like a punk, and if the walk-on was kicked off the team for the pat-down, the player who posed for the mock pat-down should have been kicked off the team as well.

I was just curious which parts made this man a criminal, and which parts should have had his future destroyed.

The way I read it now, it's a really, really bad look if nothing else, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings at all to see every NBA team go hands-off with him in the draft. However, I doubt that happens.

Also, even if Bama grew a pair and suspended him, which they won't, but even if, he's still talented enough that an NBA team will draft him. He will make millions. And the victim's kids will grow up without their mother.

And if the local D.A. grew a set and charged him, which he/she won't, that doesn't guarantee conviction, BUT it would allow a jury to hear all the evidence and decide if he committed a crime.

I’m just going by my experiences with my friends, I assume they are friends, but if a friend asks me to bring a gun somewhere, I’m sure as hell going to ask him/her why. Because if it’s used in a felony, you become a accessory to a crime whether you knew about it ahead of time regardless.

Did the kid get kicked off the team? I think that was just a baseless rumor….A sports reporter I followed…. Stated it was an octagon entrance that they had done all year….

So what? It was classless after all that has happened and demonstrates an utter lack of empathy.

I have no issues with that…. The comment was about overlooking Ruggs potential past drunk driving issues… I mentioned that we have had similar issues.

I have had it happen three times that I knew for sure the refs were bias…. An elementary school game(they were high giving the other team after it was over)…. We got them banned from doing any more of our games… a travel ball tourney against a team from Alabama…. The refs were from Alabama and called 9 charges against us…. A baseball league where we were the outcasts joining another counties league…. The problem is that every single game… fans think the refs are biased and against them…. Even the really good officials have fans berating them and usually don’t even understand the rules of the game…. It makes good officials to want to give it up… that leads to worse and worse officials reffing games…. Sometimes it leads to cancellations due to not being able to get a ref to come and officiate certain games.

Then "good" refs should be leading the charge for "bad" refs to never see a playing field again...and be ok with increased transparency and accountability for every ref, but they do neither.

We are discussing youth refs…. There is a big difference between that and college/pro…. I’m not sure what the answer is on that level.

if Gary Sheffield SR played for the braves, id turn on FSS or TBS and watch. issue is he is retarred and mlb leadership said 'you gotta go in person to watch.'

ok ill raise my kid on mls, football, and everything else.

an entire generation will forget baseball exists, no clock can save that.

Yep…. MLB leadership is trying to destroy the game… they even chased down people making highlight videos…. They were getting free advertisement from these fans and didn’t even realize it.

I can agree with that…. Wouldn’t you rather discuss this based off facts instead of misinformation…. I understand empathy way more now than I did at 18….. At 18…. I had lines drawn in the side of my hair…. Batman symbol in the back with a rat tail.

All the dumb that I did in my 20s...and I never drove a vehicle high or drunk...

I was always petrified of killing someone after hearing a mother speak to us at a MADD assembly for the whole school in the gym my freshman year in HS...they actually brought the car her 18 year old daughter had died in into the gym on a flatbed trailer..and she showed some very graphic slides from the accident that she said needed to be seen by us, that as painful as it was for her to do, that she hoped she could just save one life...I had bad dreams about that for years....I still do sometimes.

Drunk drivers suck.
