If you turn yourself in - you're monitoring.

Not how they look at it. UT dodged lack of institutional control by effectively showing the university had protocols in place, but were nailed for failure to monitor those tasked with implementation. Can't just have policies and systems in place; have to ensure compliance. So far, the NCAA hasn't fully bought UT's argument of being duped and deceived by those fired for cause.

Sources told ESPN's Chris Low that university officials continue to have positive discussions with the NCAA about a negotiated resolution to the case, which would keep Tennessee from going before the Committee on Infractions. Tennessee has already self-imposed 12 scholarship reductions for the 2021-22 school year and four more scholarship cuts for the 2022-23 year.

so we've done 16 total. how many more are they looking for?

Yes. They nailed UT with a failure to monitor, which UT has disputed, and negotiating that away will require concessions. The NCAA wants more than UT has self-imposed.

Shocker. Meanwhile Alabama is allowing an accessory to murder play ball and nothing has been enforced by the NCAA

@Enki_Amenra fanduel has Duke,Indiana and Kansas all to win tonight with an odds boost of +200 one is wrong and I’m pretty positive it’s Iowa…if you wanna check those odds yourself for a second opinion….In that order

At what point do we tell the NCAA to **** off? We as in all of college sports.

This isn’t a good move, on the AA’s part. Privately, it will get around to other ADs that we were hoodwinked during this process, and that cooperation costs more than it saves.
