I just don't think we should be going after guys that got passed up.

VN: "Well what do you expect? We can't get starters out of the portal, hard to come by"

Well if you go look at the portal there's tons of starters from their previous stops. This kid got passed by a freshmen. I hope he is good depth. I also hope we find an actual starter at OT
Find it so funny that posters continue to overestimate what they know about these situations. Who cares if they started for the last team? The system and how they fit and how they will be coached determines their impact. Nothing else. It's even funnier since we just had a stud QB that was a backup at his previous stop.

Guys I was certain would tear it up the last 10 years and didn't:

2012 - Dante Phillips (My alma mater)
2013 - Jason Carr (ugh)
2014 - Dewayne Hendrix
2015 - Khalil McKenzie (he was ok, but I thought he'd be our Suh)
2016 - King Kongbo
2017 - Maleik Gray
2018 - JJ Peterson
2019 - C. Akporoghene
2020 - Harrison Bailey (HM to Malachi Wideman another Venice High School bust)
2021 - Aaron Willis

From Sports Illustrated

1. Houston Texans: QB Will Levis, Kentucky
The most talented quarterback in the draft, Levis has elevated his supporting cast for two years at Kentucky. He has the talent and ability above the shoulders to do the same for the Texans' offense. His upside could make him one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Also in that Sports Illustrated issue was a ranking of best authentic seafood in the US:
