The authorities in Colorado said he didn't break any laws. I don't know where he was at in this video but he was in a personal vehicle. It's the NBA with the issue.
Yeah I'd like to hear what he's actually done wrong or illegal first.

It seems some don't want a certain image...of which they are necessarily pushing by the mere insistence of wrongness. But a gun in a different instance and with a different owner, no problemo. Don't see any of the MLB guys brandishing guns getting penalized.

I think it's more or less the trend with Ja is starting to materialize. His dad be popping off also, the whole family seems mouthy but im not one to judge. So u get busted once okay dumb kid made a mistake. When it happens again the 2nd time I'm yanking a knot in ur ass so u won't even dream about a 3rd time much less carry the act out in real life!!

I actually think Butch was too thin-skinned rather than too egotistical. His lack of self-confidence looked like ego because he bristled when criticized. One has to have an ego and strong confidence to coach at a place like Tennessee or Alabama or LSU, etc. because you’re under such a microscope. Heupel is a former successful QB. His confidence comes from within. He has an ego (in a good way). Saban has an ego. Urban has an ego. I don’t want a coach without an ego, as long as he channels it the right way.

Butch seemed to need external validation and shrunk under pressure. I think that was his biggest problem. His confidence was fake. Josh’s is genuine confidence. Kids pick up on that and it bleeds down to them. They play with confidence. They make plays under pressure (End of the Bama game) vs. folding under pressure (Oklahoma 2015, Florida 2015 & 2017).

Butch had some good attributes. He worked hard (unlike Dooley). He projected enthusiasm. But ultimately, he just isn’t big enough for this job.
Butch was always looking over his shoulder for Fulmer. After Butch’s firing and the Fulmer-Pruitt fiasco, maybe his concern was legitimate.

Just to add the big issue here your losing a sh*t ton of cash wjth the stupid stuff. You have been giving the opportunity of a lifetime. You have the ability to change the lives a whole community, charities, family whatever u decide to do.Naw though u rather be a big dummy and flash a pistol around be a gangsta..

Memphis 1000% hasn't been ready for those bright lights come playoffs the past 2 years anyways.Im surprised they didn't fire the coach after the last few playoff series.Seems it's constant immature bs In the press or having to watch them like chiildren.I love my Grizzlies but they got some big problems and they don't start with Ja.Wake up front office your Sh*ts rolling down hill!!

It'll be interesting to hear what policy they'll levy against him. Sounds like the gun policy is "no possession at NBA events". What was the history with his brandishing on Instagram earlier? Did he get suspended? For what?

Is there a policy against looking gangsta with a gun in a car? If not, on what basis is the suspension? I'm sure there is a more general policy that they are seeking to enforce, less the specific gun policies?

Do those MLB guys have pending allegations of violent assault against them?

I don’t think it’s that bizarre. Butch blew opportunity after opportunity and then had the gall to go after the fans for it and spew platitudes about being “champions of life” while totally squandering exceptional players. He’s also responsible for the worst season in the history of the program and, after that, to bleed the university of as much buyout money as possible he washed Nick Saban’s car for a few years and taunted us after Alabama dragged the program that HE left in shambles up and down the field. As though we’d done him dirty by firing him and giving him tens of millions of dollars to go away. He was and is a snake and watching him fall flat on his face at Arkansas State is delightful.

But speaking only for myself, I’m far angrier at Hamilton than Dooley or even Butch. This job was way too big for a 17-20 Louisiana Tech coach. Hamilton is the principal person responsible for the tailspin of the 2010s

Agree with the last part. Hiring Dooley is what set this program back and this job is way too attractive to make a hire like that. Hell, NOT hiring Patterson the year before was also a colossal mistake. Patterson coveted this job and would have been a great fit.

Hamilton is more responsible than anyone for the decade-plus football struggles.

I think the big issue here is one of cultural perception. If he were to make a video in his car giving a thorough review of a handgun, with verbal disclaimers about safety and responsibility, it'd be one look. Making a video dancing in the car, brandishing a firearm, with a friend that's making gangland-esque pistol hand gestures may come across as quite different.

I'd say this is a response to the portrayal of a culture that's perpetrated and glamorized senseless crime and violence, as much as anything else. And I'd say that any business or corporation has the right to distance themselves from such if they feel it's in their best interest.
Culture issues because of people like future NBA lottery pick, Brandon Miller

Yup. With you 100% on Patterson. That was the hire that would’ve kept the slide from ever happening.

Agreed on Japan, but Hitler and Germany were really darn close to taking over all of Europe. That one was not doomed from the beginning.
My argument was sooner or later, he would have run out of resources. Perfect example was the Russian campaign. They got their asses handed them.

Once the Luftwafe was taken out of the equation, it was goodnight sweetheart.

My wife and I were supposed to come up to Knoxville today but came up early on Friday to visit with my aunt who is very ill. We are all pretty down about it but I decided at the last minute to get tickets to the UK game today so we’d get to do something fun. If we fail to get the sweep today you all can blame me for being bad luck.
Welp. Not a lot of fun so far actually.
