Ranking seems excessive. In tiers, it is:

Tier 1: Smart, Saban

Tier 2: Kelly, Kiffin, Heupel

Tier 3: Stoops, Freeze, Napier, Jimbo, Pittman

And then everyone else. Massive gap between tier 1 and tier 2. Tier 2 has a chance to become tier 1, could easily be tier 3. Tier 3 is in striking distance of tier 2 at any given time.

NCAA just proved once again that cooperating isn't worth it.

So let’s say we didn’t cooperate. Told them to piss off. So what happens if the NCAA would have said ok it’s time to make an example of TN. And then proceeded to give us the SMU treatment or even worse. Then what? Remember it took SMU almost 30 years to recover.

So you would be willing to risk that?

You're assuming the NCAA would have found the evidence we gave them when recent history shows they generally bungle investigations when left to their own devices.

No longer matters. It's over. My personal opinion is our cooperation should have resulted in a little more leniency. Didn't happen. Moving on.
