We were discussing Brian Kelly. Beamer is another story. Brian Kelly was pretty honest about his failures as a coach and it resulting in his team not being as good as he thought. He did do that. One time (later, I think) patting himself on the chest (maybe he got the idea from Mack Brown's patronizing pats ). But the hot dog remark will live on as a classic Slingblade moment.
I love Beamer's exaggerated gesticulations and the way he scratches his chest and shoulders continually, rubs his goofy head (the reach-overs especially), and his goofy facial expressions throughout the press conference. Would make good gifs.
This is the last season CBS is contracted with the SEC, so CBS will still have its pick of the top game each week. next season is when we will go to having the top sec matchup on ABC PrimetimeI don’t think we are on CBS anymore, right? They were covering big 10 games the other day. Aren’t we strictly on ABC, ESPN, and SEC network?
He had a stretch in the 1st and 2nd quarter where he missed 3-4 passes high but he did complete 70% of his passes and should have had a long td that keyton dropped.
If our line can handle a standard defensive front then we will be successful…. If not then we will struggle….. the difference between Georgia and Bama last year…. We dominated Bama up front. Even if Hooker had hit the two opportunities that he had for big plays…. We would still lose bc of how inefficient we were…. Can’t win games….. playing fast and continually giving the ball back to the other team.Teams with good-great fronts that can close down our running game and that can press our recievers hard (eg:UGA) are always going to be a problem for this offense...I bet we see that from Bama this year too.
We will still get several opportunities for big plays against even the greatest (eg:UGA) defenses we play.
The question is do we make those plays or not. Joe can NOT be Overthrow Joe in those games, and the recievers can NOT blow the opportunities which will be at a premium against those defenses.
It really is pretty simple...we are always going to destroy poor-mediocre defenses, destroy or handle good defenses, and struggle to beat great defenses if we don't make the limited number of big plays that will be available.
i looked that up the other day. CBS had contract thru 2023 as far as I can tellCBS has the big 10 game in pretty sure, not the sec anymore.
Glancing at the Gamecocks board and they’re raking Montario Hardesty…and all the other assistants. I remember second and third guessing Heupel for hiring Mack over him.
