"Listen to George Bush Jr. talk then go listen to Bill Burr talk. They are not the same. One exemplifies the unbridled degeneracy of today. Wonder which one that is?"Wtf does Deion Sanders have to do with Condredge Holloway? What a stupid comparison.
Yeah, I get it. I can kind of see both sides. Some people want coaches to sound professional when speaking to the cameras. And that's why I made the "who's your audience" point that I did. But I do honestly believe a lot of Deion is show simply because that's the image he's cultivated. It's his "brand". And I can respect that. Like I said, I think Deion is an intelligent guy. Everything he does is for a reason. He's spent a lifetime selling that image. From college to the pros, from baseball to football, and even beyond. Deion has always been very image conscious. He did do some time as a football analyst, IIRC, and his language when doing so was different, because of the audience. I have zero doubt the way he was speaking at the press conference is how he is most comfortable speaking, but he knows how to speak "professionally", too. He's done it. But always be recruiting. Deion is selling himself and Colorado, and I can respect that.I agree with you but I don't think its disingenuous to say that his lingo is "him." If he were to speak like Coloradans, that would be no different than Brian Kelly's fake Southern accent.
I get what you're saying about adjusting your language to your audience, and I do that too sometimes. It depends on the situation. Deion may have a different perspective on when its appropriate to do that or not. Is it really necessary to do on the field after a big win, in the locker room, or at the postgame press conference? I don't think so tbh. If he was giving a formal speech I would expect it but I don't know if he does/has/would. (Shoot, I remember us hand-wringing over the constant, fake politician-talk from Butch.) I don't think the poster is referring to Deion talking informally at a banquet, I think the poster has a problem with his ebonics - and that's specifically why he compared Condredge's lack of ebonics.
Did you know they drove to the Orange Bowl last year to see Cade play?Look forward to 8pm tonight when we finally get to see Tod and Kim again. I've missed those fine Klubnik people.

I think he did an episode with Kevin Hart this summer? In that he was very chill and well spoken iirc.Yeah, I get it. I can kind of see both sides.
