Other than, hopefully, Arion Carter tomorrow, are we expecting any other high school commits? I thought Carter was it?
Most likely not. Was just saying in general, someone being in the student directory doesn’t mean it’s officially over. They’ve been in there for a little bit now

We were 127 in pass defense, UNC was 121. We sure we want any of their guys? Seems like a push.
Yeah...I don't understand that either...Bass and these guys see "former 5* recruit" and drool. If Grimes is all that, it sure ain't showing up in the stats.

I'm going to roll with whoever the coaches get. I want to even the talent field as bad as they do, but nobody can force these dudes to come here.

If that's the same as the recent story I've seen, it was a Great Pyrenees. Truly a bad *** and wonderful breed. You will never find a more loyal breed. A bit headstrong, with lots of character. But so courageous, and amazing heart.

The story is that among its many wounds, it had about an 8 inch wide strip of skin ripped off its back.

If it was a Pyr those coyotes didn't stand a chance. I swear people have no clue how small real coyotes are (there's a reason they have to hunt in packs) or how big a Great Pyr is. When I was in college I had a job with a friend's carpet cleaning business. We'd go into people's homes and clean - pretty simple job but cleaning and lifting floor buffers is hard work. At any rate, we went to a house that kept 2 Great Pyrs. The owner had them outside while we were cleaning and when I caught sight of them my jaw nearly hit the floor. My brother had kept great danes before so it wasn't like I'd never seen a large dog but Great Pyrs are on a whole other level.

These were sweet animals and their owner was present but the sheer size of them is hard to convey. They were like part dog, part actual mountain, part lion.

Part lion is a great description. Our boy is regal. Just magnificent. Beautiful. People see him and can't help but gawk.

They are one of the smartest breeds there is, as they were bred to think for themselves, tending sheep in the mountains with no human supervision. But that also makes them incredibly hard headed and full of personality. They are intensely loyal. Incredibly loving. Courage like you've never seen, but not vicious.

Did you see any improvement in the play of the secondary this year?
We lost our 3 best DBs and production was nearly the same.

From 7.3 YPA allowed down to 7.2.

From 132 QBR allowed up just 3 points to 135

No one ever should have expected improvment after losing Theo and AT and having limited ability to bring in new bodies. That would have been silly. A step back was certainly reasonable and expected. Then we lost Burrell on top of the other 2. Holding steady YoY was something else.

Ofc we all know Martinez is a stud developer.

Now it's time to bring in some legit talent currently and especially in the 2024 class. We need to be patient and keep continuity for those coaches that are proven.

That’s why people need to quit listening to the noise.
The problem is that the kids from all over the country that we need to get better listen to all the 🦬💩...they have grown up listening and being brainwashed about nearly everything by the 🦬💩 spewing media...

If you are not a media darling...and we definitely are not, then it is like swimming against a rip tide. I just hope our HC and staff are strong enough swimmers to pull us out of it. It is possible, but it will not be easy.

DW likes to keep it inside the facility…. We didn’t know about the tight end until right before he made it official….I don’t think our numbers at any position is desperate by any stretch of the imagination….. any player added from this point forward needs to be a top end player that can get us to the next level.
I don't think the guys Heupel and staff are going to go after and sign are going to be names these guys will get excited about. I think guys like the TE are going to be the ones they mostly target.
