I think it's really just a matter of what our expectations are. I think Worley likely will be solid enough to get the 6-7 wins I think we can get. Now, that first day hype had me (briefly) thinking we might surprise and grab more. But now I'm just thinking 6 or 7.
I'm pretty confident in saying that because we were two over turned calls away from 7 wins last year, and we played a harder schedule then with a much worse roster.
One of the things I like in these practice reports is the comments about how our athleticism is helping players overcome mistakes. Martinez said that about some DBs today and all the beat writers talked about how the wideouts were still catching some of those poorly thrown balls. That's the difference to me this year versus last year.
Are you gonna play Barnett at tackle and Hendrix at end?
"Hendrix and Barnett are both ends."
Is there any concern that they are too large and may have to move inside?
"It's all based on athleticism. They can be large and athletic and still play end."
I think our QB situation is much worse than most want to admit. Hope I'm wrong.

IMO we will be fine at QB. Our WRs, TEs, and RBs will help make the QBs look very good. I'm not worried.
Cutcliffe for QB coach! Wouldn't that be frign awesome? Uuhh memories.Unfortunately I agree. No reason a 4th year QB should be struggling against air the first few days of camp. I think with Worley, it is what it is. I don't really expect much improvement from him this year.
Not being a Debbie downer just being honest. The rest of the team except for the OL, will be much improved.
I see .0001 chance that happens. You are expecting a junior that produced mediocre to below average results to go throw 32 tds and 10 pics his senior year
I think our best case to hope for is more like 20 and 10
I also think a 39% increase in ypg is beyond optimistic and bordering on delusion
I also think you don't just overnight go from not being accurate to being accurate. A 10% jump there is huge and way too much to expect. That is like saying I am going to go from a 10 handicap to a scratch golfer in a summer
Just not going to happen
Ill be thrilled w 20 and 10 and 200-210 ypg.
While that's true to an extent, a QB either has it or he doesn't. If he's throwing the ball behind receivers, into the ground, into the arms of the defense, like last year, it may be a rough year.
Every QB misses with passes. Once and a while a pass is behind a WR. Once and a while he short arms a throw. The defense will get their hands on the ball at times. Better players at the skill positions IMO has a lot of those bad plays last year go UTs way in 2014. 6 wins. That's all I need to see. A bowl game this year and we good IMO.
I want every legitimate opponent this season to go into the game against our guys thinking they should win. About the middle of the third quarter when it dawns on them they are not going to win and that they are going to have their azzes handed to them; I want to see the slumped shoulders and them getting upset with each other. I want them to know that they are going to get punched in the nose and gut on every play. I want to hear them and their fans blaming themselves for the loss and not giving credit to our guys for being better. I want them dazed and confused. I want our guys to be in their heads when they go to sleep at night. I want payback time and I want it to be very, very painful for all the trash talkers and smart azzes that have downed UT for too long. That includes doofus Verne and Gary and Jesse and David and all of the rest of the smug self proclaimed experts. Eff 'em.
Starting now with Team 118.
Make it happen, Butch.
With all due respect, I think I'm not too far off with most estimations. As others have said, improved WR play and a 2nd year in the system can do wonders for a QB, without the QB actually improving at all.
Granted, my TD estimate is probably a bit high. You can chalk that up to my confidence in our WR's.

Hard to believe... that Riley took his ball and went home, when he would have been right in the thick of this.
SMH
I am not saying we are screwed but based off of the first 3 days QB play has not provided a lot of chatter.
That is bad news when a QB battle is going on.
I think worley will be the man and hopefully he is serviceable.
I am betting on a freshman or peterman will be the starter next year!Yes that surprised me. Especially knowing he had the best arm.
But I guess his mental makeup is not there.
I think we are a good QB away from being scary.
Is that in 2015 or 2016.
Can a freshmen come in and shine or will Dobbs be ready next year?
A lot of questions.

Thank God for Butch Jones
"It's really unfair," he said on Sunday. "When you get a message sent to you, it also goes to your text and then you respond to your text -- not that I violated any of the NCAA rules because you are not allowed to text -- then it goes out.
"It's not a direct message, it's a message for everybody. You learn the hard way in life sometimes."
Now that Muschamp has conquered DMs, he's ready for the next level -- how to properly use hashtags.
"The social media is interesting," he said. "I can tell you that."
