eh it's not a sustainable plan though. there will be a breaking point. that time appears to be now. and if the right moves aren't made then it could be damning for a long period of time. see Colorado, Nebraska etc. See Miami who is trying to climb out of that hole.
John Currie has 2 huge jobs.
1) hire a football coach that will get us where we belong.
2) raise money for facilities
Why on earth is it so hard to understand one of those is done in private and one is done in public?
You guys acting like LA post means anything aren't being rational
Glad you agree. It really isn't hard to see how an AD should conduct business

Like I keep saying.. Currie is batting 1000 so far at UT.
-brought back Lady Vols
-Handled baseball search wonderfully and got a great candidate.
-jump starting further renovations to Neyland.
Stop assuming hes fumbling the butch/coach situation just bc were all in the dark.

Good post. I've said for a long time from a business model it is a successful one. Not much room for increased revenue so why pay for a top tier coach. Not worth the risk. I sense it's different this time though. I'm not sure fans are going to keep throwing money at it. May find something else to do on Saturdays.
