I have been neutral on the whole Gruden thing this time. Wait and see approach.
Just hope we dont put all our eggs in that basket and miss a guy like Frost.
Matt Campbell is showing he might be worth the huge buyout to me. $9 million could be spread over 4 years. If people are claiming money isnt an issue that guy is proving himself each week.
I talked with Involuntary about this yesterday evening. This was the plan the boosters put together from the beginning. Put the massive deal together for Gruden; bring in many influential and well known VFLs; threaten the powers that be who make the decisions, that if they do not take the deal, then a humongous buttload of booster money will stop flowing to the university (therefore, all of these projects cannot occur); lastly, use VFLs, who are active in social media, and connections to the boosters to get on social media and message boards to post certain info that puts huge amounts of pressure on the decision makers to take the deal for Gruden. Has anyone noticed Haynesworth has specifically called out 2 people by name on Twitter? First, he thanked Big Jim for making a decision to make TN great again...maybe he had made the decision, or maybe the boosters wanted Big Jim to feel the pressure that if he didnt choose to let this deal happen, then he will be the one that a huge fanbase will spit vitriol at. Next, Haynesworth called out the president yday...why? To put pressure on him to accept this deal. Its why MIT knew VFLs would be tweeting messages, because this was all part of the plan. Of course, theres a lot more to all of this, but people in this forum dont care or believe it, so I wont share.
Wow. Is there a pattern here? How many have threatened to quit? Is there a running tally? Is this a squeaky wheel gets the grease with Butch situation? SMH
They're saying they're not talking about the BOT meeting.
The troll is the same regardless.
Look on the internet and find a meeting taking place, run to the message board and say pay attention to a meeting this week. Then wait for a poster to find the same meeting you already found on the net. Poster runs back to the board to confirm theres a meeting. Boom. Insider confirmed.
You said they were talking about the BOT meeting. I'm simply pointing out they're not. I don't know whether he's coming here or not but there is evidence to say they're going after him with a vengeance. I'm not talking about the people you claim are trolls. I'm talking about LWSVOL, Hubbs, SBV, AtlantaVOL, among others that are confirmed not trolls. I'll remain skeptical until he walks to the podium but there's a real chance, a decent chance that he coaches the Vols next year.
They're all trolls. One troll verifies the other troll and suddenly they're both legit. Funny how that works.
I not sure they are all trolls. For example I dont know what Albert Haynesworth stands to gain from trolling the fan base. But that doesnt make it certain we get Gruden.
I agree with the post above. The result of this search is all that matters. Not the process. Nobodys getting rewarded solely for their effort.
