If you read my posts as soon as beav started claiming MBB type status and connections to Ergen, I said doubtful. Ergen is not UT FB obsessed guy and is rumored to be tight as hell with even his most loyal employees. All that said the guy that I believe is behind all this is and has been playing this like only he, and his progeny could.

Agreed. Beaver is obviously somebody who is connected and pretty smart, but he's also got some kind of agenda that is not on the level.

Just for the record I don't have the history with DP like some of you guys do so I wasn't trying to prove him a liar in the FF. I just thought it was odd he let the Egren and Gruden talk go on and on and then boom comes in and drops that at 11 o'clock one a Sunday night.

And I'm still not sure about his Mays comments. Not calling him a liar though.

Pointing out inconsistencies is fine. I did the same thing, when I pointed out that AV's story about Mays didn't match Deerpark's. At the time, I hadn't seen Mays tweet. Now I question if Deerpark's assessment of Mays was even accurate at all.

He has AD connections and when DP weighs in on a matter he doesn't like being questioned. He usually has good reason/substance for his insight but has not always been 100%.

Where would you rank Miles on your list? I would have him above some of the names mentioned. The think I heard about him and Cameron was that when Cam got cancer, he didn't want to fire him.

I don't know about all that other stuff, but I'm pretty sure his claims that he broke the news about switching to Nike a month before it happened are inaccurate.

I knew he was very respected but hasn't posted on a while. So when he posted I took the opportunity to look at his past posts. When I noticed his answer about Mays didn't quite match I asked him about it. What really made me question it was he said he didn't follow recruiting but was very vocal about mays in the past.

I respect him and the fact he brings some "inside" info though. Wether I agree with it or not. Wether it turns out to be true or not.

Just got home from a miserable flight now caught up on most of the convos for tonight. What a bomb that was from deerpark. He’s really challenging LWS for the grim reaper role.

All I really have to say is, I’m never drinking deerpark water again and please don’t tell me I have to cancel my new Dish sunscription.

Better than Butch for sure, but he is much like Fulmer (many hate this comment) as the game has passed him bye. Saban/Myer made Fulmer look like a fool. Miles will get killed currently. NO big college wanted Fulmer. Many VNers will say Fulmer didn't want the offers. LOL. I am super appreciative of Coach Fulmer, but it was time.

I’ve been thinking about all of this talk of going out and spending huge money for a coach.

If Espn is going to start not bidding on some things- or just not throwing down crazy coin for things like the sec contract- doesn’t that have a trickle down effect. It seems like college football is in the midst of a bubble licensing wise- I wonder if that’s about to all come crashing down somewhat. If it does, and the league has less money to pass along to member schools- do you really want to be holding a huge multi year contract for a coach when the market retracts? It’s likely going to happen to a school at some point- I hope it’s not us.

Because somebody asked him what Mays was going to do and he said he didnt follow recruiting at all and wouldnt have any idea what Mays was going to do.


Guess he forgot he had been posting in the Mays thread already.
