Deer park news is sobering. I was starting to think maybe there was something to this. If the Ergen thing is false, why believe a word of what he said?

Who, MIT? I haven't believed him from day 1.

Others have said we're making a serious run at Gruden, including Atlanta Vol. Volatil can vouch for him; they've been best buds since like the 2nd grade.

But in the end, I don't think Gruden really wants to coach, and we end up taking the safe route with Mullen.

I think his style is similar to Larry's anyway. Both of them are pretty negative. But I also think its just because UT athletics is pretty negative.

I'm actually not buying that he isn't connected to the AD in some way. That "legions of the miserable" crap seems to be a little too personal.

Insufferable. We just had 90k show up to watch a 3-5 football team play Southern Miss. The fans are definitely the problem.

Thanks. This is my refuge during searches. If you have watched this site as much as me you start to see behaviors and patterns. People become invested in a story they like. Best bets are to overlay stories and only accept portions that match. The good news for all of us is the most important parts match up. Maybe worst case we end up with Mullen and he does for UT what Richt has at Miami.

I dunno. He's known some pretty weird ****. Like one time he posted how fast Tyler Bray threw a football on the sideline of Vanderbilt game. And if I remember, this was during the game or shortly after.

I still think tonight's Deerpark appearance was strange. I can't articulate why, but I'm still scratching my head over it.

Maybe I'm just too used to LWS's style of taking a dump on our dreams and then quietly going about the rest of his day.

It was weird. Didn’t really even say much about Gruden. He quickly addressed the dish network guy like it was personal. Then got defensive about fans not buying into who the AD hires. Well forgive us lord Deer Park for getting a little frustrated about how the UTAD has completely botched 3, that’s right, 3 football hires that has turned our football program into a complete cluster.

I agree and I'm guilty of getting wrapped up in Gruden too much.

I just don't buy that DP is not involved with the AD. Like at all. He knows too much off-the-wall stuff and his jib tonight was a little too personal.

Now that you've said it, that's why it seemed unusual to me. It did have an oddly personal tone.

Maybe DP was sent in here to squash the Ergen theory because if Gruden is hired, the new AD would want people to think it was him that got it done and not somebody who went over his head and strong armed him into doing it. Its not a very good look on Currie if Gruden happens and all of the fans know how and why it happened.

Maybe they used DeerPark because they knew how much clout he had on here and that most would believe it. Control the narrative.

Most are wavering on their belief in what MIT brought but he did say that Currie would come out of this looking like a hero but that would actually not be the case.
