I can't tell if this season has gone by really fast or really slow. On one hand GT games feels like it was forever ago, on the other hand I can't believe we only have 3 games left

Not sure why Ergen became so vital to this pseudo narrative. He's never been a big friend to UT FB and many very very reputable posters have said all the major players are united. Doesn't have to be at the hands of one guy. Could just as easily be a conglomerate of large boosters working together.

Mullen, no doubt. I’m not the Mullen hater Some make me out to be. I just don’t think he can take us where others think he can

After Florida hires Frost, IMO, we will clearly be behind each of our rivals. I don’t think he can overtake any of them in a dominant fashion

Because the narrative is that Haslam controls everything, and his natural foil would be UT's other most prominent booster. It makes a nice story.

Deerpark didnt say we were not getting Gruden. He said that is was very doubtful Ergen was behind paying for all this based on his past actions. Does not mean all thats been said occured didnt happen. Everyone needs to chill out. Let it all play out. Butch is gone and that is great for Tenn football.

Deer park news is sobering. I was starting to think maybe there was something to this. If the Ergen thing is false, why believe a word of what he said?

I still think tonight's Deerpark appearance was strange. I can't articulate why, but I'm still scratching my head over it.

Maybe I'm just too used to LWS's style of taking a dump on our dreams and then quietly going about the rest of his day.

Fast for me. I went to 8 games last year and will go to 7 this year. I've not had time to enjoy Knoxville much in any of those games. I know some people don't care about a lower tier bowl, but it extends the season another month and makes the next season that much closer.

He didn't say Ergen until late into his ruse when it made for convienient cover. Again main storyline of Gruden interest, huge offer, etc is supported by many trusted and known posters and provides a much less contrived narrative. Take the simple path.

Gruden likes UT
UT is willing to go big on offer
He might accept
We don't need an overlord booster to have those things happen.

I think his style is similar to Larry's anyway. Both of them are pretty negative. But I also think its just because UT athletics is pretty negative.

I'm actually not buying that he isn't connected to the AD in some way. That "legions of the miserable" crap seems to be a little too personal.
