Maybe DP was sent in here to squash the Ergen theory because if Gruden is hired, the new AD would want people to think it was him that got it done and not somebody who went over his head and strong armed him into doing it. Its not a very good look on Currie if Gruden happens and all of the fans know how and why it happened.
Maybe they used DeerPark because they knew how much clout he had on here and that most would believe it. Control the narrative.
Most are wavering on their belief in what MIT brought but he did say that Currie would come out of this looking like a hero but that would actually not be the case.
Just curious, outside of James Franklin, how many coaches do you know of who notably increased their winning % after going into a better coaching job?
Saban to LSU
Miles to LSU
...
I know they are out there. This is always the driver of the Mullen argument and Im thinking through the odds a bit
:hi:
Meyer from BG to Utah and also UF to Osu, not sure if those really fit here though.
Harbaugh from Stanford to UM
Chizik from Iowa State to Auburn
Spurrier from Duke to UF
These off the top of my head
This would be a cool thing to really look into.
I admittedly dont have the stats in front of me, but the criteria I put forth was a win % increase.
Aside from his Stanford beginning I wouldnt say Michigan is currently out performing where Stanford was when he left
Could be wrong
DP is one of about 3-4 people here with actual connections of some kind. He doesnt have ALL the info but he has som...so how about people quit trying to run him off the ****ing board by relentlessly picking apart every little thing he says/****ting on him every time he posts.
If Sumlin is going to be fired, I wonder what A&M thinks of Chad Morris.
If they pass, he may be open to a Tennessee move. I think Id gamble on his upside
I kind of think he may be their guy. Hes an alum.
Id like him as a HC here, but he kinda get the feeling he wants to end up at a P5 school in Texas. If A&M passes in him, Id imagine he gets a look from Texas Tech if that job comes open. He was passed over for Kingsbury last time that job opened up.
Rod Gilmore was the worst (Andre Ware bad too), but Jordan Rodgers I CAN'T watch. He is awful. I would love to hear Gilmore, or Ware more than Rodgers. :bammer:
McElroy is great. When talking UT, Rodgers still cant see past his Vandy background. All the color announcers and analysts on the SEC Network have a playing background. Most from SEC schools. Most openly admit the love for their particular school but still can be fairly objective when talking their school and rival ones.
IMHO, McElroy is the best at this and does his homework.
Rodgers, as they like to say nowadays, not so much.
No. 1 Tennessee: $107.1 million
Not only are the Volunteers the Champions of Life, but the clear football revenue winners based on the most recent data. Tennessee had both the most revenue ($107.1 million) and most profits ($78.9 million) of all 14 SEC football programs. It is a credit to the programs large and loyal fanbase that packs out Neyland Stadium each week even when the product on the field isnt always great.
UT AD/Football Program source launches blistering attack on fanbase (hyperbole intended)
Someone is miffed because a few people didn't believe the Dooley hire or the Jones hire was up to expectations for Tennessee and never gave the guys a chance yet we had the 3rd highest attendance in the SEC for Jones 1st spring practice in 2013. The hype in the fanbase for at least the first 2 & 1/2 years of the Jones tenure was off the charts. The last 2 years season ticket sales have been the best in the last 10 years. We are one of only 4 SEC schools that average over 100k in attendance for our home games. What exactly is there to be miffed about in regards to the fanbase?
I'm seriously trying to figure out what else the fanbase needed to do to show that it was giving the guy a chance?

Mullen or Morris, for you?
