Frost is winning with experienced older lineman in the trenches. Just as he should be doing and something Butch isn't. One thing we should notice is those aren't his players so we can't credIt his recruiting for that.

This is an assumption and one I would bet on. Those lineman in the trenches for Frost were by and large higher rated recruits than the teams they are competing against. It's hard for me to say he is "outcoaching" his opponents when he has older and/or more talented players than his competition.

I'm no genius but that looks like an OLD team.

Starters on O
RSSR 1
SR 1
RSJR 3
JR 2
SO 3
FR 1

Starters on D
RS SR - 3
SR - 1
RS JR - 2
JR - 2
RS SO - 1
SO - 1
RS FR - 1

Starters with 3+ years in college: 16

7 on offense and 9 on defense. 16 out of 22 starters are in their 3rd year or higher.

The offensive skilled players are young. I noticed that earlier in the year. QB is a sophomore. 2 WR's are a freshman and sophomore. RB is a sophomore. Probably all guys that Frost recruited himself.

Comical.

Read my post again and check the facts on offensive production.

Almost entire rushing attack is first and second year guys with one junior that played on 0-12 team.

Leading WR caught a lot of passes for the 0-12 team. None for the previous years as he was a freshman in '15. Their starting TE did catch 12 passes for that 9-4 team though.

Bruin gonna Bruin.

Then somebody posted this. Dont know where it came from or if true or not. Havent researched it.

Ergen has earned a reputation as a results-oriented businessman who once said, “When you deal with change, you have a couple choices: You can lead it and make the rules, or you can be a fast follower or you can be a slow follower.”

The Ergens have supported UT Athletics and entrepreneurship efforts. They fund the Ergen Professorship in the Haslam College of Business and also support an MBA fellowship.

“Throughout the years, the generous financial support from the Ergens has greatly contributed to our success in recruiting some of our top MBA students,” says Donna Potts, director of student recruitment and admissions at the Haslam College.

Could be that all of this is just a big sham. I still say that if it is, whomever is behind it is very good and has lots of time a resources.

Or it could be that the AD lookouts that lurk here are getting very uncomfortable with all of the leaks and how close people here are coming to exposing this thing, that they sent DP in with that for riot control.

Who knows. If its not Gruden, it better be the next BIGGEST thing, whoever that is, is all im saying.

We are definitely being played and likely the AD is using some posters to do the misinformation thing. I don't understand the rationale behind it so help me. I prefer Florida's straightforwardness but still think that scenario down there was pre-planned. They just chose a direct path to get the show on the road and on the hill,"it's here we go again." Then they attempt to be secretive about what's really going on and use people like DP and Basillo to toy with us just to create confusion, IMHO. What's up with professional people behaving like this ? Surely at this point they aren't undecided.

Chavy, I don't understand the point you are trying to make and so I'm not trying to contest it.

Just thought it was interesting how old UCF is this season.

People need to keep in mind though that Frost is destroying everyone he faces for the most part. Not just winning games but crushing teams. Having some seniors doesn't automatically translate to winning by 30 or 40 almost every Saturday. He is doing some coaching.

Do you think UCF recruits better than the oppents they are not playing?

Just a guess but I bet they recruited fairly strong during and after the BCS year.

UCF has always been talented.
Latavius Murray, Brandon Marshall, Blake bortles, Kevin Smith, breshard perriman... they have several NFLers

How many players contributed to the winning culture at UCF before the 0-12 season.

I don’t think we were quite at 85 but we were right at it. Very good crowd all things considered Saturday.

Yeah, I thought the 70k number Hyams and others ran with was quite low and overvalued the gaps in the student section. Really good crowd all things considered.

It was the typical Homecoming crowd that was all present for a total of about 10min. Between Greeks, families, and old people it thinned out fast.

I would think Houston and UCF have Dominated the AA in recruiting. I would love to see a comparison of the years for those 2 programs and also would love to see if the recruiting has improved under Frost.

When I have time I will look it up.

No idea.

The guy inherited an 0-12 team. What he is doing 2 years later is awesome.

Hard to do better than 8-0 and outscoring your opponents by 226 points.

Ok. I’ll connect the dots for you. Fans are acting a fool because they have zero faith in our AD to pull us out of this decade of mediocrity. The fans are tired of the program being the laughing stock, not only of the conference, but of college football.

We are known perpetually as the fan base that says next year is our year. We rally behind no name coaches that get hired in the hopes that they pan out.

Before you get to the winning at a high level consistently is hard argument, I can name at least 20+ programs who do every year.

Our fans are living the definition of insanity from the AD. Hire up and comer, rally behind them, fire coach, look for next up and comer. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Meanwhile the Bamas, tOSUs, the Clemsons, the Penn States (who just exited from the freaking death penalty), the Wisconsins (really), and about 15 other programs consistently enjoy more success. And our fans shouldn’t be pissed off? Shouldn’t be delusional hoping that for once the AD doesn’t screw it up?

Get over yourself.

Such a good post.

UCF has some advantages for sure but they've also been lucky to get O'Leary post Notre Dame scandal and now Frost.

Coming soon to Neyland...
