Everything has two sides of it. The previous ADs have completely dropped the ball I mean hell look at some of our past hires:

Todd Raleigh
Derek Dooley
Lane Kiffin
Don’t Tyndall
Dave Serrano

None of them worked out in the least bit. But I just want people to give Currie a chance because of the things that have been accomplished so far. Just because we are in the dark doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

Unfortunately there will be those people that won’t give Currie a chance and the ones that are quick to want Butch fired will lead the charge right now. I agree with you though, he deserves a chance to prove himself before people jump on him and so far he has done good things. I actually love the fact that he is stealthy and has most of the leaks dried up. If he nails this hire, people will jump back on board with him. If he hires another no name, his name will mentioned with the likes of Mike Hamilton. I think he knows he needs to make a great hire. I have faith, even though it’s hard to believe in hope as a Vol fan lately.

80 percent of UT fans don't care about any of that. Here, you win football, you win the day. A small percentage of us really want a great basketball too. The rest is maybe window dressing.

That sort of makes sense when you consider that almost 80% of athletic department operating revenues come from football. My suggestion is to raise the ticket prices for Tennis. Let's even things out a bit.

Oh wait, my bad. Football pays for all of these.

Regular season home events for Soccer, Swimming/Diving, Track/Cross Country, Golf, Tennis and Rowing are free of charge.

We need to do something here. Maybe we have some tall swimmers who could play WR or maybe steal a soccer player or two for kicking duties. Rowing - linebacker maybe?

I just looked up UCF's stats. Half the offensive contribution is coming from 1st and 2nd year guys. The rest is mostly third year guys that were on the 0-12 team.

Defense has a couple that played on the 9-4 team.

It's not just us. Some account associated with the Dodgers sent out a tweet minutes after game 7 ended last week. I noticed that it already had nearly 200 comments after about 5 minutes. The vitriol was strong. Nothing positive. Bashing players. Bashing Roberts.

It's not just us.

Fans like to @ people for sure. Anytime Ainge, Currie or any other perceived Vol villain post on Twitter, the crazies pile on like there's no tomorrow.

Out of curiosity what are they starting on the lines of scrimmage?

Using ourlads, they have a few guys that would have redshirted during that BCS season. They are particularly upperclassmen heavy on their DL(3-4).

Six seniors start for them total.

Gruden said in his last broadcast that "I sure miss coaching"! That was either a major mis-speak or he is sending a message.

Why go back to the NFL since his Super Bowl ring says that he has nothing left to prove there.

Saban does not have a Super Bowl ring but Gruden doesn't doesn't have a college national championship ring. Maybe a goal that could drive him?

Can you really imagine Gruden going to any college job other than Tennessee?

Some coaches prefer the NFL.

I'm no genius but that looks like an OLD team.

Starters with 3+ years in college: 16

7 on offense and 9 on defense. 16 out of 22 starters are in their 3rd year or higher.

Interesting

But the OP was just putting out false bait. Good thing we have fact checkers around here.

Not the point being made. Sorry, wasn't clear.

How many played or contributed on the 9-4 team before the 0-12 season? How many on the BCS team.

Comical.

Read my post again and check the facts on offensive production.

Almost entire rushing attack is first and second year guys with one junior that played on 0-12 team.

Leading WR caught a lot of passes for the 0-12 team. None for the previous years as he was a freshman in '15. Their starting TE did catch 12 passes for that 9-4 team though.

Best thing the AD could do is reduce the seating by around 7500 seats. Charge $5.00 extra a seat for the other 97k seats.

Make seats bigger. People weren’t as large when seating went in. People are fat now and don’t fit.

Removing 7,500 from 100k is about 7% reduction. You think adding 7% to the 12" seat you are given is gonna make a difference? Dropping it to about 85k would give us some room but 7,500 less probably wouldn't be noticed.

I don’t blame vol fans at all or being upset with the current state under butch or with Dooley. I think my biggest gripe was over the petition to hire Pearl. That was an awful look for our program. I’m just worried that people are so in love with Gruden that I think anyone other than him is gonna be automatically in a hole just bc their name isn’t Gruden.

I also think Currie is in that same boat right now. He wasn’t Blackburn or Fulmer (the fan favorites) and he has don’t nothing but great things so far. He brought back the LVs, Execured a baseball search beautifully that looks like he made a great hire. He (and Bev) stopped a lot of out sourcing that should’ve never been thought about. And people are already calling for his head bc he hasn’t fired butch yet. So have people really given him a fair chance?

People were in love with the thought of Gruden last time too. But 99% got behind Butch pretty quickly.
