I get it. I don't want Doeren, either. But Gundy blew us off. Brohm blew us off. Agents don't even want their clients to talk to UT. Making the situation even more toxic makes players want to leave and recruits want to stay as far away from UT as possible. Mays, Taylor, Horn, Lyn-J-- they're not coming now. Recruits are cancelling visits. They want no part of this. The more this escalates, the longer the football program stays dead-last in the SEC. Surely you don't want that.

No one wants that, but at this point it might just take that for the administration to see fans won’t support this dumpster fire they’ve started.

It is not our fault..hiring garbage is not going to stop it. Making a visible change in leadership will.

You know. I'm not usually prone to conspiracy theories, but this reminds me of that poster vol1707 or whoever it was that out of the blue was trying to rationalize Schiano as a candidate last Saturday night.

Like this poster, that one was trying just a little too hard. One interesting thing is that both have a reasonably old account but with relatively low post counts.

Could be coincidence, but also seems a little too eager to prop up Doeren, which is actually pretty hard to do.

You're right. This is how you do it. Hate tweeting at a coach for taking a job he was offered will hurt the team and keep the program down. The coach will still make tens of millions, win or lose... and he'll lose a lot more with a worse roster.

What recruits want is a good coach and if you think any of those kids are going to commit to a NCST coach, well, good luck with that. They are young, but they are not stupid.

No. Nobody does everybody here wants UT to be at the top, but fans who spend our time, energy, and money on this program and love it to death should have a voice. Yes some can tone it down with the hate but its been a decade and fans are anxious

I respect you as a poster but you are sounding like a mouthpiece from the AD. You surely can understand that we have no choice to force change. We can only do that by protesting, tweeting, discontinuing donations, and not going to games. If we just get in line with a crap coach that is what Haslam is banking on!

Dead last is where it will stay with the leadership currently running things. Infected wounds do not heal. They must be cleansed and medicated first.

Dumb and lazy argument. Kid knows the legacy of UT football. If/when he signs with UGA or Clemson, it will be because he knows our administration isn't willing to live up to that legacy, not because our fans were mean to the bums Currie tried to deliver to Knoxville.

LOL. I’ll say it again nice and slow. I have nothing to do with the AD or any conspiracy. That’s just crazy talk. It’s amusing, but it’s crazy talk.

Some people are saying a lot worse than that. Some tweets have been violent. Currie's family has had death threats. His wife and kids have police escorts and so do other UT officials. We're all frustrated, but threatening people or warning them to not come isn't the way.
