I grew up in Raleigh. I’d rather talk to my friends who are lifelong pack fans and alumni. You are right, not universally hated but not loved either. My good friend is the biggest pack fan you will ever meet and played football at NCSU, he laughed and told me “Doeren will never work at UT.” He thought it was better to let him walk because he wasn’t worth fighting over. Tells me all I need to know.

It’s unbelievable. Mississippi State just made a far superior hire than Doeren would be. Our administration doesn’t care about winning. They know the fans will show up no matter what so why pay big money on a coach who will win and who they can’t control?

I would beg Morris to come right no to keep Doeren from coming. At least he would be exciting. Doeren would suck and be boring.

Prediction.

If NC State has a coaching opening, they will get a much better coach than UT.

They will upgrade and we will downgrade.

Nah. Fans dont have to... but that's not the source of our displeasure. I'm not talkin bout coaches here..

Need to "to cut the head off the snake" so to speak.

I'm just telling you why we've only been relevant for catchphrases that don't make sense the last 10 years. And I don't *need* to support anyone. Just win games.

I tried earlier with a couple things:

1. Similar track record as Saban when Saban went from MSU to LSU
2. Led NCSU to their most ACC wins in 23 seasons.

From what you can tell? From reading a few posts on their message board?

I know several athletes, 1 current, several former (within the last 7 years) who are NCST alum. Several different sports, not just football. He is not liked by many people at all on that campus and especially within the AD. He is a jerk who rubs everyone the wrong way. I’ve reached out to gauge what they and others within that department think, and it’s not positive. There’s a reason they wouldn’t be mad if he came to UT.

But tell me again how I’m building a “false narrative” because you googled a couple quotes on a message board.

And by the way UT Admin.....This is why you hire a search firm and let CBJ finish the season. Fire him after the Vandy game and announce new coach the Sunday after Vandy. Idiots.
