Who knows, maybe Doeren puts together a really nice staff and it works out like it did for Dabo a few years ago.

This is true. Fans need to voice their opinion with their wallets. Revenue drops by 30-40% then heads will roll. Fan social media outrage is only going to make this worse.

Yes, not good options. Once again, for those that didn’t get it the first ten times, I don’t want Doeren to be the Vols next coach. But we have to hire somebody and nobody wants to come here. Our filibustering antics only make that worse. Whoever we get now will be far down the list. I wish our fans would choose not to flame that person and make their job harder from the get-go, but at this point, it seems that’s about as likely as Bahama John sealing the deal with anybody who has ever seen a football before, so...

Doeren will take the job if he thinks there's a chance he's going to get fired at NC State. Doesn't he lose a pretty senior-laden team after this season?

Coming to UT gives him a fresh set of downs and a hell of a lot more money.

He's not getting fired at NCState though, they added a year to his contract offer and a salary increase for he and his coaches. I think he will stay.

I do still think that if Doeren gets the job, he's suddenly going to look like Nick Saban on the recruiting trail. And it will be because the Haslams will make sure he has everything he needs, bag men and all.

That's an easy and very inexpensive way to drum up fan interest, especially when you're facing unprecedented apathy and restlessness. Who knows. The guy might actually turn out to be capable of developing that talent unlike Butch.

I'm not worried, i don't think Doeren is coming. He is getting a raise at NCState and a raise for his coaches.

And the five year extension that he was asking for. Hopefully that along with our tweets scared him from coming here.

I just can't understand how a group of people can be as stupid as this admin. Hire Les Miles, Hire Tee Martin. Both WANT THE JOB. Both would bring our fan base together in support. They keep doing the dumbest **** instead. I just can't believe that people this stupid are making the money they are making. it's astonishing.

There just isn’t a good coach out there for us to hire. If we are being completely honest, Tee probably isn’t the guy either. He is way too inexperienced so things could go very badly with this team’s current shaky foundation.

Morris is our best option and he is going to wait until Tamu is no longer an option at the least.

I don't mean this year. I mean in a year or two. He saw that we just gave Butch Jones five years.

Probably thinks that 5-7, 6-6, 8-4 can net him a nice extension and if he's fired after five years, he gets a massive buyout.
