An aggravated assault conviction means that you are a thug. The New York representative who threatened to throw a reporter of a balcony is a thug.

I agree with all but the reporter dude. Most reporters deserve to be thrown off a balcony.

Wrong.

Reasons:

1. Anybody who knows anything about our fans knows there will be backlash to dismissing a player as beloved as JJ. Why do it leading up to the game that will decide whether this is the worst Tennessee football game of all time?


2. Waiting until he comes to Knoxville gives Currie the option to at least meet with Jennings.


3. National perception. Outright dismissing him this quickly makes Currie and everybody involved with our football program seem reactionary and incompetent. Waiting until a Sunday/Monday to make an announcement at least gives the illusion that this was mulled over and unavoidable.

Just realized I misinterpreted that Bubba message on his twitter. Translation is Gruden tu the hill sun. I think sun means soon. Not Sunday. Carry on.

I am about over supporting these idiot entitled kids with my time and money. If these kids think this is how you are a good productive citizen. He has had two MINOR run in’s with the law and this crap video and these kids think it is ok. Is this what JR thinks is ok? You said you knew it was wrong. I am really over this ****.

I don’t think anybody questions whether or not college athletes get paid.

The question is whether they receive compensation equal to the amount of revenue they’re creating for TV networks and universities.


I think the answer to that is a pretty obvious “no.” But it hasn’t always been that way. And I’m not sure there’s a way to make too many changes without removing the university aspect completely and just creating a minor league for football.


There’s no simple answer or solution to this problem.

If was not a interim with 4 days of employment left I would agree. Why would Home give two craps about Juan Jennings or the university of Tennessee.

Schiano is not in play for the University of Tennessee.

I believe he is already hired. Just connecting the dots, my favorite of which is John Currie being in the Bahamas right now. He is probably currently finishing his last beer from the 18 pack of coronas he bought today. Probably taking off that Hawaiian shirt he bought from JCPenney's. slipping into his PJ's. Who knows, he might be on his balcony right about now, smoking a cuban with his legs proped up on the railing looking out at the ocean thinking man I wonder if this is how Ishmael felt after finally catching Moby. Probably sending a thank you up to the man up stairs. I imagine he will be humming the song Rocky Top as he falls into a deep slumber.
