With all these people saying things are going to happen “quickly” I think it is either Gruden or Mullen. Hubbs has repeatedly said things will start heating up Friday. LWS said this above. Hyams has now moved his date up to next week.

I see that meaning one of two things.
1. It’s Gruden and it’ll be announced after the last game. Since we are so close to that point it can been seen as “moving quickly”
2. It’s going to be Mullen with an interview Friday announcement Sunday type deal

With Currie at the office all last week (correct?) and at the BB game, we may have already hired someone and waiting for season to end.. Catbone needs to come in today with the House and CC info.

How can it be Mullen when he won't even talk on the phone until the end of his season? Are we to presume that he'll take it if offered?

Also, shouts to basketvols yesterday, great win. I had a good feeling about Barnes last year and I'm hoping we can make some noise this year. Huge opportunity today vs #5 Villanova. I hate that I have to sleep through it. Send one up in the hopes of making a huge splash to open up this season!!

Petersen is obviously a monster hire, and would make a lot of sense with timeline and things Currie has said, etc. (assuming that it’s fair to read that much into everything Currie has said, which I’m not convinced it is).

But I just don’t understand why he would come here. There would have to be some reason. Maybe he’s not happy with something at UW, but the AD that hired him is at aTm, right? What would make him want to leave and come here? Just don’t get it. (But hope it’s true.)

I don't get what's so special about this Petersen guy. He's never won anything of note.

Come on now. I'll take Petersen over Gruden all day. The guy is 128-28. He's won 5 conference championships including the PAC 12 last year. Took a mediocre Washington program who hadn't done anything in years to the playoff in his third season. He's a top 5 coach at the very least.

Yeah, but we’re not the only ones who could/would do that. Heck, UW could do that, I assume. It would be similar to the Bielema hire if it happened, but with an even higher-profile coach (and I like Bielema).
