I think Larry knows more then he’s letting on, but for the record I am a big Frost fan too so I wouldn’t be upset with either outcome of Frost or Peterson.

We're speaking to Mullen on Friday. I still think Sexton is using UT as leverage, but we'll see. We're probably not his first choice, nor is he ours.

Don’t you think if it’s Frost it’s not happening this coming week with him having a championship game? Seemed to point that way when Jimmy said after SEC title game but not now

I don’t think Larry would be predicting Petersen (even as he qualified it) without having received some indications that he would be realistic (which is not to say I am interpreting that as Larry knowing Petersen is the guy or anything, but I don’t think he’s just throwing him out there as a fantasy candidate). It’s still surprising to me, but if there is any chance of it happening at all, we better be offering him the world.

That’s the way I read that as well. Mullen hasn’t talked and won’t until after the season.

Prior to Hubbs post I really thought Friday Currie goes and ties up loose ends. Announce Sunday. Not now.

Meanwhile Currie drinking Bloody Marys at the poolside bar.

He has to have his guy already

I do. I think they pack it in and completely quit on the coaches. This season will go down as the worst in TN history, and coming off the heels of what we thought was the worst coach in TN history, that’s saying something.

That is interesting. Whoever sent that to Hubbs is someone who feeds him reliable info, or he would have never mentioned it.

Dump the brinks truck at his front door if he is truly interested interested. Larry’s comment to me just makes me think that there has been expressed interest both ways at the least.

Nah. That was totally innocuous and people just misinterpreted it because they were looking for some coded Hubbanese where it didn’t exist.

If Gruden was locked up, we would be hearing more and more noise about it, not less and less, with other candidates emerging. The Gruden story is just too big to be buried if it was real, especially with so many people on that beat.
