We do know from ATL Vol boosters went all in on Gruden.
Other than that we know nothing.
Ive become convinced no one knows anything because we are getting turned down left and right. Currie kept this quiet so we fans didnt have to hear that.
My great hire meter is down to 5%.
Im just waiting to hear so I can log off of Vol message boards for the last time and get on with my life.
I dont think Currie was prepared for so many jobs to come open that are comparable (Arkansas) or better (A&M, UCLA, UF). I think hes having to constantly reset expectations. Just my view of how this is playing out.
If you are a coach looking at a Tennessee, you have to figure you only have about 2 or 3 years before the fans turn on you. Can you turn it around that soon and if not, is the stress worth the millions you will make? Could you make more going somewhere where the expectations are more achievable?
I'm not sure we should
This isn't the job we all want it to be
🔥🔥🔥 (unfortunately)
Whoever the coach turns out to be, I actually feel sorry for him. Butch didn't leave him sh*t. Top to bottom, this is no doubt the worst, talentless, soft team I've ever seen.
QB's : Pitiful... JG or McBride shouldn't be SEC QB's
RB : Meh
WR : devoid of talent
OL : bush league
DL : bunch of pushovers
LB : Hardly Div III talent.
DB : Never seen worse
This is a 3 year rebuild, minimum.
Dobbs really was the difference.
Let's face the facts.... Tennessee is basically a collection of talentless players coached by a bunch of talentless coaches. It's going to take awhile to dig out of the sh*thole Butch put us in.
