I know. I'm just saying that if you wipe away the Florida psychological advantage and transfer it to us, the Vols would win this game fairly easily. The fact that they have Gators on their helmets and the game will be at the Swamp are probably worth 3 TDs against the Vols, IMO.
Some major ecred at stake here guys.GFW in this corner says Paulk back by the summer. In the other corner sporting a perfect record and GOAT status LWS.Larry said no Paulk earlier today. Some thing has to give in this one.![]()
Info on Gators' practice yesterday. Thought some find this interesting.
Practice Notes, Day 12: Offense ugly in open work
-Grier struggled big time, overthrew/underthrew receivers and was just off overall.
-Their WRs are dropping balls with no defenders on them.
-The secondary absolutely dominated and started taunting Grier. Even a walk-on DL got in the action with a pick.
-OL David Sharpe was "easily" beaten for a TFL.
They sound like they have the worst of our problems from 2013 and 2014. No QB, WRs struggling, and poor OL play. Of course, they will have a stout secondary and likely a good but not great defensive line. It will be very interesting to see what type of offensive gameplan DeBord comes up with for this game.
Put this exact Florida roster in Kentucky jerseys and play the game at Commonwealth and we would win by two touchdowns without it ever being close. The more that comes out about this team, the more and more vulnerable they look, but history indicates all of their weaknesses will disappear for 60 minutes when we meet them on the field.
Surely by now everyone understands that no matter how bad Grier or any other Florida QB looks now or vs any other opponent, he'll look like the second coming of John Elway vs Tennessee. That one performance vs the Vols will kickstart his Heisman campaign no matter how awful he may look vs every other opponent he plays.
Because every team in the SEC besides UT, Bama, UGA and Aub want it to change....they've been holding serve as long as they can but at some point it will, IMO.
According to Butch, Dobbs had his best practice of the Spring. Kamara wasn't full go today. Out with a thigh bruise and a tender ankle. Could be back by Thursday, but Saturday at the latest.
Butch had big praise for Vickers. Same for Shy Tuttle. Charles Mosley was given kind words, as well. He's around 65-70% healthy.
Couple of Circle of Life Matchups:
Malone beat Griffin
Jumper beat Bryant
Sanders and Mosley tied
Blair beat Lewis
Kendrick edged out Mixon
Evan Berry and Branisel battled
Ray Raulerson and Butcher held out of practice. Both for concussion-like symptoms. Creamer held out as well.
and jones left the door open for him in that interview a month or two ago.
