Given what happened at Bama and the media crap storm Saban has with that I doubt very seriously that Paulk will be back. Why wouldn't he already be back if he were coming back? DeerPark and LWS have both said he will not return.

Again though, Mueller and GFW have said that he would. That's four guys with inside info that are saying two different things. I agree though, it would have to be clear as day that he didn't do anything for him to come back.

Rethought my format from a poster in the NCAA forum's input. I think this format is the perfect one for fans and the conference. The coaches will just have to get over the 9 games.

I think you would see the conference expand to 9 games, with 5 being permanent.

By expanding to 9 and having 5 permanent, a player who stays 4 years would have the opportunity to visit every Conference opponents stadium in his career. Plus, by getting rid of divisions you could have the 2 best teams play in SECCG.

This would be amazing for fans and TV $$$'s the more I think about it. WE NEED THIS FORMAT. Imagine the awesome rivalries. You'd get 5 teams every year and the other 8 you'd get to play at their host and play at their place every four years. So we get to keep Bama, UF, UGA, Vandy and add back Auburn while getting to go to Death Valley, College Station, Arkansas, South Carolina, Missouri, Ole Miss, Ect's homefield and have them in Knoxville every 4 years.

This would be awesome.

They would not give up playing us every year.
To them, we are their top rival despite the lopsided ness.

I think they'll live and the conference would see the benefit of adding TN and Auburn back together.

In my format no team besides Miss St gets to play both Vandy and Kentucky in the every year.

An NFL format would work. Teams schedule is based on record from previous year. For instance, if we finish in top 3 of division we should play 2 top tier teams from the West and 1 lower tier team.

1E vs 1W

1E vs 3W

1E vs 6W

Will lose historical rivals and it sucks, but is inevitable when money is on the line.

Just spoke with LWS, he's still hearing Paulk most likely will not return at all.

Was he accused of hitting girlfriend?
Open hand slap?
Close fist punch?
Was he drunk?
Did she hit him first?
History of abuse by either party?

None of these, of course, ever excuse a man from hitting a woman (except with his life in danger if she had gun, etc.).

The devil is always in the details in most domestic violence cases. You wonder if Paulk has come clean with all of the truthful facts to CBJ.

I think you have to consider several things. 1. The summer is a good time to bring him back for publicity reasons- no public practices or media sessions to be asked about it. 2. Scholarship numbers- they may need to wait until the summer. 3. The summer means he was punished a full academic year.

Stating all of this, I have no idea if he will be back or not. My assumption is that someone would be reporting interest in other schools if he was planning on leaving. JMO.

He should be back this summer, barring something crazy. I've been asking around the Program for awhile now and this seems very evident to me. Hence the Bussey flip to A&M

It could very well be that several different things are in play with Paulk's reinstatement. I would think there are mandatory counseling sessions required. Also, consistent performance in the classroom could also be a factor. Given the critical shortage of RBs for spring practice, there must be something he needs to complete for reinstatement. However, it could be that he is just finishing out the semester year before leaving school. Hopefully that is not the case.

Is Sawyers still on campus?

I have missed a lot in the past so take from this what you will.

The plan right now is to have Paulk back for summer team activities.

If all things go well and he takes care of his responsibilities he will be a part of the team in the Fall.

Hurd/Kamara/Paulk/Kelly/RDA IV is good RB depth. Not elite and not ideal, but good.
