My idea of heaven..floating in a canoe on Jenny lake, meditating on the power and beauty of Gods creation, as I stare in awestruck wonder at The Grand Teton, Teewinot and Mt. St John in all their snowy glory in late spring..I am really jealous of the San Juan trips, man I bet that is awesome. I love Colorado, when I was a teen we lived in the Texas Panhandle. Dad took us on a couple of road trips from the Sangre de Cristo's in New Mexico up to Rocky Mountain National Park. But I love the Tetons and Yellowstone area more than any place on earth I have been to yet...

The view off the back of my sailboat in the British Virgin Islands after making way from the Gorda Sound. My idea of heaven.

This isn't bad either. Flying the T on my boat as we sail into Saba Rock, BVI...

My favorite spots in Destin are the Back Porch and McGuire's. Good stuff.

To piggy back on this off topic business:

McGuire's is a nice Irish Pub. Good atmosphere; good food.

The Back Porch combines a little southern with it's seafood and has a great open-air beach view.

Pompano Joe's is a Caribbean-ish Back Porch-type place.

Sealand is an interesting little place in FWB with no view but better food than most.

There are plenty of other places, but these are my more recent favorites. Nowhere near the water is cheap.

AJ's is a neat place on the Marina, but the last couple of times eating there, I felt the food was an afterthought for them.

Retire to Charleston, SC. It has the best city life and outdoor activity balance I've found anywhere...which is why I decided to live here.

I've flown/driven through but haven't had a chance to stay yet. Wife and I planned two trips there that both fell through, unfortunately.

We plan on making a Charleston and Savannah trip for our anniversary next year...hopefully. I've been to Savannah, she hasn't. LOVED Savannah.

By far, the best shrimp and grits I've ever had was at The Boar's Head on the river front in Savannah.

I like food.

Now I'm hungry.

Damn it.

Inconsistency crept into North’s game as a sophomore. Drops were a problem, routes often questioned and nagging injuries held him back from being one the league’s serious threats.

His touchdowns increased as a red zone target, but North rarely made plays down the field, a part of his game that benefited the Vols’ passing game two seasons ago.

It was a frustrating year, but North says he has put last season behind him.

“It was just an up-and-down year, really, injury-wise,” North said in a April interview with 247Sports. “A lot of stuff was happening all year. But now I’m just trying to propel myself and move forward. … It was just a lot of trials and tribulations, but I’m glad I overcame it and glad I’m getting back healthy now.”

North, like a lot of key Vols, took it easy this spring and worked out in a non-contact jersey to ensure his shoulder’s back to 100 percent by August. He’s under enormous pressure to return to 2013 form if the Vols expect to boast one of the Eastern Division’s top offenses.

North’s a game-changer at full strength and provides Tennessee with a next-level dimension on the outside to go along with Dobbs and the feared tailback combo of Jalen Hurd and Alvin Kamara.

“Everybody sees the potential,” North told 247Sports. “Coach (Butch) Jones is moving us in the right step. Everybody can see what we can do. It’s just up to us to really focus in on it and have one goal to do it. I know we can be real good.”

247

This should be required reading in rebuttal to all those "Feed North" posts from last year. It was pretty clear he wasn't all there last year, and the coaches obviously knew it.

Yeah, They're starting to focus more on the night life.

Two places that are great to eat at that noone really
Knows about are "The Lighthouse" & The North light

Those are the two places that most boat captains go tooo. Great food but a little on the expensive end.

I was stationed there for 5 years. It's an awesome place, I would love to go back. If I had to choose a place other than Tennessee to retire, it would be Charleston.

Destin has a attraction beneath Fudpuckers called Gator Beach. I was the Assistant Manager there for a couple of years. I've probably met some of you guys. I worked 6 days a week..

Do you need a boatswain mate? I have no idea what that is or what it does...or how to sail...but my dad was in the Navy and I'm a quick learner.

I can drive a 21' run about if that makes a difference...

Well, me having an avatar helps ME identify my posts, but I often wonder/worry if y'all other posters get us mixed up and think I posted something I didn't. Because there are some things I won't post.
