Started to update each individual recruit's page, but that may get annoying for everybody. So, below is a list of the recruits we're still strongly in on that are now in the new Rivals100 list:

My top 3 wants:
1) Warrior (legacy, position of need, beast)
2) Gary (McKenzie type game changer, potential #1 draft pick)
3) Hardman (Ideal Pig replacement, perfect for our offense)

This is a decision by the President of UAB that I'm sure he hopes will save his job. I don't think he anticipated the backlash he received when he pulled the cord on that program, along with the rifle and bowling teams. Expect for all three to be reinstated. The entire city, many across the state, and even that nation, have rallied against this man, who is nothing but a puppet for the Alabama Board of Trustees (who have governing power over UAB).

But many supporters have come out of nowhere and really made a loud voice for UAB in the past 6 months, and it looks like their voice will be heard now. Expect UAB Football to be back on the field in Fall 2016. Announcement this afternoon at 4CT. And if he ends up not bringing it back at this announcement, I seriously fear for this man's safety. We've got some crazies down here in Bham. Go Blazers, and GBO.

Phil Steele released his preseason All-SEC team.

Hint: Two Vols get no respect as per usual.

Phil Steele

Hurd: 3rd team RB (fair)
North: 3rd team WR (fair)
Maggitt: 2nd team LB (fair, should be DE but okay)
Barnett: 3rd team DE (lol, Garrett was 1st team of course)
Sutton: 3rd team DB (lol, VHIII was 1st team of course)
McNeil: 3rd team DB (fair but being ranked the same as Sutton is hilarious)
JRM: 4th team LB (fair)

Somehow Jeremy Johnson is 2nd team QB, Kyle Allen is 3rd, and MATY MAUK is 4th.

And yet he has Jeremy Johnson & Josh Dobbs both as 20/1 odds for the Heisman...

If I had to put together a team, I would take his 2nd team offense, 3rd team defense, and 2nd team special teams.

Edit: Which obviously means I think his picks suck.

garrett gets all the hype bc he was rated so high but the guy piled up all of his stats against trash teams. Barnett was doing it against the SEC mainly. Also ridiculous that Sutton gets no respect.

barnett is more complete as well. Offensive Tackles killed garrett in the run game. Not the case with barnett. Dude is 270 and stuffed the run as well as any DE.

Right on point. It's not that Garrett isn't greatly talented and has great potential, it's that when evaluating his season vs Barnett's, it's not even close....your analysis is spot on. Also, wth are people thinking with all the Sutton snubbing??

wondering the same. VH and Cam are the best corners in the league. Its amazing he gets no respect but he will get his respect when that draft rolls around. Garrett piled up stats against terrible OOC teams and he is not as complete as Barnett. Doesnt play the run near as well. But when he was coming out of HS he got a ton of publicity and thats why so many people know him. Its really the same situation as VH.


Garrett was often really quiet when playing SEC competition and Barnett shined when he played against the SEC.
