this is two straight years that we were the best team in the east and may not win it, thats an indictment. but butch is responsible for rebuilding to the point that 9-3 is a dissapointment, this year was gutted by injuries and dobbs aint that guy. so he deserves to get his shot with jg and a full roster of jones only recruits. he will be on the hot seat starting next september, his 1st must not dissapoint or else season imo.

Larry has proven reliable when it comes to coaching searches but I doubt he has any inkling what Rich Rod is thinking.

And for that to happen, it would take a monumental pride swallowing for Butch.

I'm still sticking with my Dooley era pledge to never again complain about 9-3, top 25-type seasons. And especially ones in which we beat both the Gators and Dawgs.

Still lots of ball to play but the season is going fast. You all should stop complaining and just enjoy it. Last full month of college football.

Why? Is there bad blood between them? Seems it would require more on Rich Rod's part.

Depends on who you talk to RR tried to get our job after it was offered to Butch. He had only been at Arizona 1 year and our administration didn't want to Kiffin them...

Last year by talent we were the 3rd best team in the east. This year we are the 2nd.

I'm skeptical of Butch making a quality hire on offense. It's his O and it seems like he's preferred "yes men" over someone who has their own identity or, dare I say it, success.

That being said, he surprised the hell out of me with Shoop, maybe he'll get it right...

Good Lord...why couldn't Mal Moore have just pulled the trigger and hired Rich Rod before checking on Saban?

This hire will make or break his tenure here IMO.

His O is a version that is part RichRod, part Holgerson, part Kelly, and a few other "Spread/ finesse" innovators. With that being said, I could see him hiring RichRod.
