Ha ha. We had our worst 5 year stretch in program history, yet, in 4 of those years, we lost in one possession games.

Actually, our kind of thinking may have hit rock bottom (by firing Fulmer), but it allowed us to hire Butch Jones. Your line of thinking had the same coach for 15 years who couldn't win a championship with year after year of pro level talent. Worry about your own program. See you in Athens, where the only time I attended a game, we were a 12.5 point underdog to the 3rd ranked team. Ended up pretty well.

UGA is the team that can keep us from ATL this year. We know it, they know it. It won't be a boatrace. It also won't change the outcome. We beat them last year at home. We will beat them this year between the hedges.

The three real teams UGA played last year scored 38, 38, and 27. It's easy to have a top pass defense when you play ULM (74), Vandy (113), South Carolina (93), Southern (1AA), Missouri (115), Kentucky (88), Auburn (105), Georgia Southern (128), and Georgia Tech (124). If you can't tell, those are the passing yards ranking out of 128.

No, I think Debord continues to have a heavy hand with the OL, and Butch does the same with the WR unit. Hopefully, they look better and other places come calling for those 2 as coaches.

A little early for "hot". But yes he would be on a short leash with losses to Mizz or USC, UNC & GT. Those are 3 bad ones for Georgia.

Eh... I still think they can simply out talent 75% of their schedule. I think they go 8-4 or maybe 9-3 and finish second or third in the East. If Kirby Smart proves to be a remotely decent coach, they'll continue Richt-esque success year in and year out with the talent UGA recruits on its own. If he is a good to great coach, who knows. I refuse to overlook any opponent until we know for sure what to expect. He could be great, he could be a failure. Time will tell.

I get to hear some idiotic comments on here, but this one might take the entire cake. Do you even know the names of some of Saban's assistants, other than former UT great,Derek Dooley? Ever heard of Jimbo Fisher, Jim McElwain, Mark Dantonio, or Josh Daniels? The only bad seed seems to be your guy Dooley. The jury's still out on Will Muschamp. And I'd take Smart over Jones ANY DAY. You all would too.
