I have asked the following on a couple of Florida message boards but I am still confused so maybe some of the resident Florida fans on here can help me.

Where does the confidence in Luke Del Rio come from? The kid has been at Alabama and Oregon State and has career stats of being 8-18. All I see however is how confident they are and that he is going to be better than Grier. There is no way I would be this confident with an unproven quarterback especially having to come to Knoxville. Any help here gator fans?

They believe they have a quarterback whisperer as a head coach. They also weren't paying attention the last half of last year if they think that's the case.

Grier was pretty legit. If Del Rio is as good as him, he wouldn't be at his third school IMO.

Yes!!!

Except Colts won't be picking so low.

I think their time atop the AFC South has come to an end, as has the division's time as the doormat of the NFL.

They were exposed last year without Luck and their OL isn't doing him any favors. He's been battered like David Carr over the past couple of seasons. Couple that with the Jags drafting well over the last two years and the Texans and (dare I say it) the Titans doing well via FA this year, there's as much disparity in the division as there's been in...a long, long time.

Potentially, anyway.

Has GFW or anyone with dependable knowledge made any statements about whether Tuttle is going to be able to perform at a high level this year?

Really hope he is able to go!!

There's at least one poster who posts who watches a lot of football with reliable information. Just ask...

:)

We'll see. Drafted 4 OL.

I do agree about the division.

Go ahead, ask any of the Titans fans on here about rookie offensive linemen. :) Not saying they won't pan out but it's akin to UT's 2010 OL...even if they're talented, it'll take a few years to gel.

Besides, I think the Jags might actually be for real. If it's not the Colts, I have a feeling its either them or the Texans.

The Titans, I think, are a year away.

Cosidering how poorly the rest of the line did in 15, that can't make you feel very confident.

He had a down year least year, but PFF had him as one of the best corners in the nation after his sophomore year. He will bounce back

I think he was hurt all year. You could tell how he was hitting after the Oklahoma game. The Florida game he wasn't blasting people at all.

But him being overrated is hilarious. His sophomore year he was dominant and followed No.1s at times. He dominated Treadwell for sure.

Hey HG

I saw you guys just got a QB out of Alabama. Taking 2 quarterbacks this year? Or are they taking him at another position?

Guys I just wanted to hit on how good we are looking at making up ground in recruiting the defensive line. This past cycle we definitely swung and missed a little bit only getting a couple defensive linemen, and one is still in question whether he'll ever set foot on tennessee's field. As of right now we are at the top of several DL's list, and it looks like Butch is doing a great job on defensive line recruiting thus far. With the commitment of Crosby(DT) that sets us up to land a few more Virginia linemen; Gaddy(DT) and Williams(DE). Then add in Rutger Reitmaier(DT) and that is 4 solid defensive line prospects. Not to mention that we are in on several top notch ones as well. I just wanted to comment that Butch is doing a terrific job so far recruiting the DL, and all we have to do now is reel them in.

Circumstance. He wasn't going to beat out McCarran at Bama as FR. Mac and Nuss left for other jobs.

He may not make all the throws looked Grier but he definitely has the talent to put up good numbers. Supposedly his football IQ is higher than WG.

Yo HG, I'm golfing in a HS football booster tournament Saturday here in Camden county. Playing with Jarrad Davis. Anything you wanna know?

If he will start juicing up like Grier, he should have no problem making all the throws.
