Dobbs gone is why. He has had his own personal QB coach all along and when he was getting coaching tips from Bajakian it was messing him up. I seriously think they made a decision not to bring in a QB coach because of Dobbs and his affinity with his own coach.

Hmm... interesting. I think the Vols dropping all the way to the MCB while an improved UK moves up to a Florida bowl creates a negative perception for a school that desperately needs something positive. The MCB feels so Dooley to me.

See if those fans show up. I bet they don't.

You don't have a coach for one guy. We all have known for the last 2 years we needed a QB coach, especially when they recruited QD and JG. Butch did it his way. Like he always does.

I guess he learned from his feelers what most of us already knew; that he's not all that. Hopefully a good dose of humble pie that will force him to do some soul searching and make appropriate changes going forward. He's going to need to prove himself worthy of positive attention. The disadvantage of being telecast so frequently on CBS this year was much of the nation could see the flaws.

I get the potential GT and VT matchup issues, but we could go. They took UGA in 2014 and 2016. It's the Outback that won't take teams 2 out of 3 years.

That 2014 bowl was for the 2013 season though. IIRC with the college football playoff starting the next season the SEC bowl-tie ins changed in how they picked teams with a whole mess of them being "equal" and having any opportunity to take teams ranked 3-8. The 2 out of the 3 rule could've been started with that system so taking them in 2016 wouldn't have broken that rule.

ive thought all along debord was brought in because of the pass protection deficiencies combined with dobbs passing deficiencies and the potential of the running game with dobbs, hurd, and kamara. see last year vs florida game plan. and that when dobbs goes so does debord. may be giving butch too much credit but was my theory.

Have been told that Butch has not had a shortage of coaches expressing interest in coming here. That's a debbie downer relaying that information. Said at a minimum Martinez on the defensive side of the ball is gone and that Stripling is probably retiring. If DeBord retires and Z is not promoted to OC, then he is likely gone (in saying that he said Butch is not making him OC in charge of play calling). Mahoney is done. They would be shocked if Gillespie left. Doesn't think Sheridan is being promoted.

lines up with what Brice said in terms of interest. It sounds like We need to move fast before SEC coordinator circus starts. He thinks it is going to get crazy on coordinator front throughout SEC. Threw out Gilbert and Applewhite as two names coming up a lot as QB/Co-OC. Debord to OL/Co-OC.

If we pull Gilbert or Applewhite that would give quote a boost on recruiting trail.

several days ago people were so frustrated with the loss, Butch, and the season in general that it was explained, the only way to fix or change things is to stop $$ supporting UT football... As long as everyone continues to go to games and particularly the bowl game, why would the Admin want to do anything different? If you want to get their attention, DON'T go to the bowl game... that would speak volumes.

Fair enough. I don't want Petrino near my program. There is no doubt that he is an offensive genius, with emphasis on offensive. I just think he is bereft of morals and I don't want that kind of influence on our student athletes.

We want to win football games not life games.If a kids a good kid great.If not but he can play that's ok too.Building good citizens is great as long as you win a Championship every now and then also

Hope this is sarcasm.... clearly I mean don't support from a travel and buying a ticket standpoint $$.... I'll be watching them in my living room, but I'm not spending a dime on Butch until I see something change...

cool, then when the administration doesn't make any changes because they are still getting the same amount of revenue no matter how many wins we get, please don't complain.... You can watch them on your TV....
