Not going to bowl game isn't going to get him fired. His teams performance next year would. Let's be honest people are still going to games regardless. they wanted music city bowl for a reason. TN fans aren't going to pass up a game in their backyard. If they went to Florida yes but instate no. People always looking for things to do such as get wasted AT tailgate

Yep, you are right and folks are still going to come out in droves no matter where we end up... You have to love the UT fanbase from that standpoint and makes you proud to be a Vol.... I tell ya though, it would make one hell of a statement if folks didn't show... Certainly to the new AD coming in.

I support them because I want to see some of our all-time Vol greats Josh Dobbs and Derek Barnett go out on top.

I'm finished with Butch Jones for the most part, but I love the players on the team and I think it would generally be good for the university to win the bowl game and continue to add to our all-time win totals.

I don't think the MCB wants Vols as first choice. They know we were just in Nashville. I think they'd like SC or A&M. Vols may be headed to Memphis, which could maybe help with recruiting down the road.

What pisses me off is that my Bama friend predicted both 8-4 and us getting blown out by the Tide. And that was all preseason. He has been super critical of Jones the entire time he's been here, and he has actually been spot-on with almost all of his criticisms of this staff.
