Because MacIntyre took a 1-win San Jose St program to a 10-2 record in 3 seasons

And Taggart took over a winless program on a 26-game losing streak

Precisely.
Both guys took over some horrible rosters and have exceeded expectations.

Specifically the **** job that Skip Holtz did at USF I saw that first hand.

Both guys are top tier football minds

I will say this, Taggart will have to get some PR help if/when he gets a bigger gig. He is not, or at least he wasn't good in public at all.

Vol BB looking good. 20-12 over GA Tech. Sorry, Jacket, I hope we stomp a mud hole in Pastner and his bees.

Still..those numbers out of context mean nothing. They have both done a great job making chicken salad out of chicken s..crap. Taggart and the USF program was a joke in Tampa when I left a couple of years ago. The turnaround is remarkable.

Butch took a team in the crappers and turned it into one with SECC and beyond expectations in four years. He did that in one of, if not the, most difficult conferences in CFB. Of course we are ready to toss him to the curb because things didn't go our way this year. I like Butch but he may not be the guy long term. However, to argue for these guys because they turned programs around in crappers conferences and crap on Butch because he hasn't met our expectations in the SEC is a bit hypocritical IMO.

In his biggest season, with his his best chance to win..Butch lost to the two worst teams in the SEC..with everything on the line. He crapped the bed, then he started looking for another bed to crap in, instead of changing the sheets. Love you man, but I'm not a hypocrite. I'm just so freakin ticked off that I can't see straight.

It's OK to be upset about the season but to pine for a coach that hasn't had to compete in the SEC because they have done well in a lesser conference while being upset with Butch for not meeting expectations in the SEC is slightly hypocritical. Butch did well at all his previous stops and there was plenty of evidence that he could be successful at a higher level. Wanting to start over with another potentially good coach because our current potentially good coach hasn't met our expectations is the definition of hypocritical IMO. Love you too bro but we are angry with Butch and really need to step back and take a good long look at what we are asking for before we toss Butch to the curb for another lower tier FBS coach.
