They should look into a way to have 6 team playoff. 5 conference champs and 1 wild card. 1 and 2 get bye week. 3 vs. 6 and 4 vs. 5.

I like 8. P5 champs and 3 at large. 16 is way too many, 4 is too few.

If all the other teams were 11-1 or better?

I'd think we shouldn't have lost 2 games tbh

A team that wasn't even in their conference's championship is in the playoffs... If there's only 4 teams I think a conference championship should be mandatory

if they do, we won't get another top ranked recruit out of our backyard for a long time, they'll all go to Clemson.

16 team playoff would be fine.
-P5 conference champs are 1-5 seed
-P5 runner up (or next best record) 6-10 seed
-Top 6 non-P5 teams follow up seeds 11-16

Allows for good representation of the P5 schools, and plenty of room for your underdogs

16 is way too many. 6 non P5 teams is just silly. 6 or 8 is just about right, but anything more is really excessive.

Except you devalue the season so the number of 2/3 loss teams in the upper tier will increase. Look at the NFL.

I remember a lot of people were saying lose to aTm and Bama beat Bama in sec champ make it to the playoffs. Which def was a possibility. If that would have played out we would have been left out and people would have lost their minds.

Rational people would not have lost their minds.

They would understand that a 2 loss team does not deserve to be in over a 1 loss team.
