Agree.

But Dobbs being held in check usually happened in your Ohio, North Texas and App state game where we won.

Bama he wouldn't have made a difference. I think South Carolina had more to do with Muschamp knowing how to stop our offense and Dobbs.

If Dobbs wasn't throwing the ball in the dirt all day, we would have destroyed SC. Mush gambled on Dobbs having a bad throwing day and won...barely.

Auburn appears to be setting sights on Helfrich as Top OC target. gus plan was Briles and he was told they can't do it last minute. He wants Lindsey but being forced to look at outside options before being allowed to hire from his coaching tree. Going to be some made fans in here if Auburn gets him but he and Malzahn are apparently good coaching friends. I still think he stays out west or waits for chip though

If he goes there it will be for one year. Butch cannot afford a hire like that. Helfrich insisted on no buyout.

No freaking way we'd agree to that.

You are quite a predictable poster..
Never can restrain from bashing Butch.
Take a puff & relax, man.

How is pointing out that Jones is now reduced to competing for scraps necessarily bashing him? Is the truth bashing?

I'm relaxed. You're the one that seems to have gotten worked up.

Fact is, some of us warned that if he didn't prove himself within the first 3 years and at the very most 4... recruiting would suffer. Even the most devoted Butch follower can't deny that recruiting for the last two years has been far more of a struggle than the first two when Jones was selling promises rather than reality.

Hey guys I haven't posted anything recently because we've been getting settled at home (our furnace was out when we got home Monday night so we didn't have heat). Baby Rowan had a successful seven-hour pull through surgery to address his short segment Hirschsprung's Disease last week, and he shouldn't have many long term issues. I wanted to thank you guys for the thoughts and prayers.

Best news of the week!! Continued thoughts and prayers your way!!

Conliffe is scraps? Not really in tune with recruiting this season are you? (rhetorical question)

On the whole, yes. As for following every tweet and rumor from the second cousin twice removed of the former coach of a recruit's older brother... guilty as charged.

That said, when did Conliffe commit? The last quote from Hubbs on Conliffe's thread sounded as if there's a good chance he's a Vol.... if he doesn't fall in love with UF or become a Bama priority.

So yeah... it sounds like Hubbs thinks that Jones' best chance at landing Conliffe is if Bama brushes him off.

LOL, I've given up trying to help you understand that all things in life aren't binary extremes. Dobbs is no Dak, and if you think that's insulting or "hating" on Dobbs, so be it. Dobbs has turned into a good qb. We can do better, especially with taking care of the ball; but he helped get us back to respectable. Believe it or not, both those things can be true.

If Dak was on this "whole different level" as a COLLEGE PLAYER then he would've went first round. He was making bad decisions under pressure at times too. Guess you didn't see that though.

You're really going to use the "he wasn't drafted early so he wasn't good" argument?

Kamara: Plays with speed, power & hands. Can be a fit in any offense with natural gifts. Super explosive. Vision to break outside. Top 35

Kamara starts one game, breaks the all purpose yardage record, and Butch catered to Hurd over him. 🤔

Easy to say in hindsight but Hurd was no scrub. Helped us win a lot of games. He was the instate star. Kamara needed more touches yes but he also isn't a 30 carry guy ether his body would be worn out. I don't get why people act like Hurd wasn't worth being a starter just because he quit. Hurd was a beast that was about to be schools all time leading rusher. Kamara needed more touches but I don't blame them for starting Hurd who also was outstanding pass blocker

Hurd was good. My entire point was there games Alvin got like 5 touches when they should have minimum been split 50/50. I think Kelly was/is better than Hurd too.

There were times where his plays were dialed up but not thrown the ball. My issue wasn't so much # of called plays to get him touched but the lack of creativity of them. Especially when you saw all the ways MCCaffery got the ball at Stanford. Kamara would just get dump off passes. I'd bet it was his frustration early on too. Everyone so those same two to three plays coming alot of times.

Tebow and Manziel got drafted early..... why didn't Dak?

Both of those were terrible QBs in the pros. Neither had the tools to be great QBs like Dak had. You're really arguing that draft position is more important than how well a QB actually plays in deciding who is better?

Manziel had the tools besides being a head case that has a sickness

More evaluations more changes. Just watched some tape on Marcus Maye. He's better than teammate Keanu Neal who went in the first round and is killing it right now for the Falcons. Also got a chance to study Christian McCaffrey. He should be a good player in the NFL. A poor man's Alvin Kamara IMO.

Here's my new top 20:

1. DE Myles Garrett (Texas A&M)
2. DL Solomon Thomas (Stanford)
3. CB Cam Sutton (Tennessee)
4. WR Corey Davis (Western Michigan)
5. RB Alvin Kamara (Tennessee)
6. RB Joe Mixon (Oklahoma)
7. QB Joshua Dobbs (Tennessee)
8. QB Brad Kaaya (Miami)
9. CB Jourdan Lewis (Michigan)
10. DE Charles Harris (Missouri)
11. DT Caleb Brantley (Florida)
12. S Eddie Jackson (Alabama)
13. CB Marlon Humphrey (Alabama)
14. TE Evan Engram (Ole Miss)
15. RB Christian McCaffrey (Stanford)
16. RB Leonard Fournette (LSU)
17. S Marcus Maye (Florida)
18. DL Malik McDowell (Michigan State)
19. S Jamal Adams (LSU)
20. LB Jarrad Davis (Florida)

This draft is strong at RB, DL, and DB. Weak at OT and WR.

THIS

there's no denying Hurd was a good RB for us, but when you see what Kamara and Kelly did, you have to wonder why they didn't get more touches, yes, at least 50/50... Hurd won a lot of games for us, but with more touches, I think Kamara could have won a couple more. ..
