A lot depends on who wins the starting job. If it is QD i would expect an offensive attack like New England. Utilize the quickness of Byrd, Williams and Jk out of the backfield. If JG wins the job, i think they will go with more that worked ladt year.

JG can run the same offense as #12 if they want to use that style of offense.

I don't think any of those WILL happen but they are all certainly possible. Last year showed us that.

The same talking heads/beat writers who say that are the ones who said in 2011-2013 that Tennessee was a lost cause and would never be elite again.

Now Butch is on the hot seat because he hasn't made us elite again fast enough.

There's really only so much the past recruiting rankings can tell you about a team.

Wasn't there a downpour that game? I seem to remember us looking good. Me getting all excited. Then them coming out of a rain delay and curb stomping us

That was 2010. The only downpour in 2013 was Marcus Mariota and his receivers pouring on yardage and points on our hapless defense.

When has the schedule not been absolutely brutal during the Coach Jones' tenure?

It's actually a little better thus year with how the broke up the SEC games a little more. It's always brutal in the SEC though.

GoVols247 says QD starting to run away with the job. Their source that has watched some practices says QD is distancing himself by a long way. JG struggles come when they move to 11 on 11 and 7 in 7 work.

That isn't surprising to me considering he is 2 yrs behind QD and that was his problem in Elite 11. Looked like the best guy in drills on air and had a ways to go when a defense was involved. Typical freshman issues and not alarming. He works hard so it will come with time

they said it's not over though as you can't count out a guy with that much talent with a mth to go. It could click at any moment.
