doesnt have to be as dogs. Anytime people write off Butch and say he lost team the team comes out looking much better. Last yr was first year his teams had hype and he babied them. He ain't doing that this year.

I don't think there has been a time where his teams were written off. Last year was the first year there were any real expectations from the media unless you are talking about teams at Cincy and central Mich

Who said I don't support the Vols. I just don't believe in a certain QB. Problem? People on here didn't believe in Dobbs. Doesn't make them negavols. They just don't believe in certain players. I don't believe #12 can lead us to a natty at Tennessee. So yeah it is what it is....

Yes sir. Pig extended his whole body out to score that TD and fumbled an inch or less from scoring. But the FF said his fumble cost us the game and called him alligator arms and I was irate. They ended up deleting half the posts where I was arguing with them, which I should have known better. They called him a pothead and a cokehead. Not everybody, but more than I would have thought. Eventually, I said I' m gone before I get banned and I u all can go ahead and rip a VFL that gave his all for Tennessee.

I was at that game. Pig was trying to win the game. Anyone who faults him for that can GTFO. Now, he did have some off the field issues, but I enjoyed watching him play for the Vols and hope he has a productive NFL career. He will always be remembered fondly in my mind as a player who gave his all for TN.

Not sure you can point to all wins. UGA and USCe in 2013.

He had alot of pressure on him after Arkansas in 2015 and then won out.

I hope last year was an anomaly because his players do play hard for him. Injuries and defensive coaching were a problem, and let's hope that's changed.

I hope that is what it means. I hope it's just because QD is a NFL talent, and not because JG is a very flawed player.

I don't think that is case on JG. Too many people gush about him and his potential. Having a full time QB coach is going to be very helpful to him. It will click one day for him now that he has a coach challengning him mentally daily with 100 percent focus dedicated to his development.

if it never clicks, we got a stud inn adrian Martinez coming in that imo will be a real threat and challenge to JG in future. Kid is a star.

If he really is running away with the job and you say he isn't any good then what does that say about JG? Is it possible that QD is just better than you think?

That he'll be like Dobbs losing the practice battle to garbage Worley as a Sophomore. That's all I look at as.

JG wasn't leading us to a natty this year either. A bit unrealistic if you think this team was winning a natty this year with a first yr QB and OC

No..just the way you said it. You got the right to say it, I've got the right to think it's dumb. Dormady doesn't have to win a NC to be a great QB, the rest of the team has something to do with that. If he has a great year and gets drafted high, are you still going to post stupidity like this? Obviously JG isn't winning the job. If he isn't winning the job in practice, then he isn't good enough to win either.

That team talent wise paired with that schedule is built to make a big run. QB play and coaching is the key. But I'm going to sit back watching Tennessee Football with Zero expectations.

Im telling yall. 8 wins regular season is good this year.

I only see one for sure loss with my orange glasses off, and that is Bama away. I think we boat race UF at their place. UGA and LSU are at home, so advantage is in our favor. The rest of the games, we should win barring injury.

Prediction: 10-2 with losses to Bama and LSU

It's going to be a fun season folks.

2013 was a bad team that grabbed a major upset. Talent wise they were awful minus the OL. They started to learn to play their tails off.

2014 - team is missing that OL. Hustle still present.

2015 - team doesn't have depth but plays like their lives depend on it. Lack of depth wears them out leading to almost wins.

2016 - team is hyped to the moon and plays like crap. Wins a lot of games on talent alone. No hustle or drive present in that team. Individual players did great but as a whole, as a team, nothing was there. You could see that in the first game and that chemistry never got better.

2017 - team chemistry is there based on reports and depth is there despite a lot of it being green. I expect them to play with the drive of the 2015 team rather than the 2016 team. Add in extra depth and they have the ability to upset some teams.
