Who said I don't support the Vols. I just don't believe in a certain QB. Problem? People on here didn't believe in Dobbs. Doesn't make them negavols. They just don't believe in certain players. I don't believe #12 can lead us to a natty at Tennessee. So yeah it is what it is....

Long way from that to instant coaching search...stay consistent.

The thing between our two qb's that I think is 1) People way underestimate QD's mobility and athleticism and 2) People way overestimate JG's mobility and athleticism. They are both pocket passers, and QD is simply a better one right now despite how far and hard JG can throw a pass. And JG is nowhere close to Dobbs in terms of mobility.

Lol. A natty?

This is where you always go wrong. Your expectations are all out of whack. We didn't have national championship talent last year and we don't this year.

We need to get to 9-3 and make it to Atlanta.

A natty? Lol.

Regarding the QB's - I think people forget the Dormady has been running our offense since his senior year in HS. His dad was his HC and he installed the offense including the terms we use. QD has been studying our O for 3 and a 1/2 to 4 years - High School + Early Enrollee, Freshman, Sophomore, Junior (spring, offseason, fall camp).

I think that's a really good drill and an overlooked RB weapon. Defender can't tackle you if he can't grab you. Emmitt Smith was probably the best I've ever seen at smacking the defenders hands away.

9-3 this year
10-2 or better next year and an appearance in ATL

At that point, Butch will have secured his position here and will have cleared a path to start recruiting at the same level as Dabo, Urban, Saban, Fisher, etc., on a consistent basis.

He's recruiting well but not national championship level. Gotta remove some obstacles to get there (i.e., stop the hot seat talk by winning more games), but he has what it takes once those obstacles are removed, IMO.

Hmmmm..... So we were winning early on without 3 of our top 4 defenders. Would've destroyed A&M just by not turning the ball over 6 times.

The same team healthy had the game versus Bama in Tuscaloosa with a less experienced team. That was the same team that literally led in every game they lost. Talent isn't the problem. Coaching, injuries and S&C were the issues. Talent isn't the issue this year either. But I guess I'm delusional. When I was saying how good we were two years ago before the Oklahoma game people looked crazy. Then we got off the gas due to coaching not TALENT....

Were we watching the same games? It took a lucky fumble bouncing into Hurd's hands in game 1 to not lose to a Sun Belt team at home.

Ziti isn't wrong that we don't have NC talent and depth.

This is one of the reasons he will win the job. Command of the offense and full playbook. He doesn't have to run for 800 yards like dobbs if he can sling it on the money like that

That he'll be like Dobbs losing the practice battle to garbage Worley as a Sophomore. That's all I look at as.

Ok. Except Worley wasn't nearly as accurate in practice as QD. Dobbs played as a Freshman and looked like a Freshman. He might have been the better choice starting over Worley his sophomore year for sure though.

I'll tell you this, I can't wait for the season to start. If QD is the play I hope he is, we are gonna have a good year. If he isn't, I hope Butch doesn't wait to long to pull the trigger on JG.

Would you rather have Florida get obliterated by Michigan, then have their soul crushed in the Swamp two weeks later.

Or, have Florida undefeated with all the talking heads making them a dark horse National Championship team, just to have their soul crushed in the Swamp by the guys in Orange.

We dogged Va.Tech the next week. Explain...... Talent wasn't the problem last year.

Also how deep do you need to be to make a run? Both starting CBs, Both LBs and 3 DTs were hurt last year. Plus 4 O-linemen were hurt. How can anybody win with that happening?

If QD couldn't make those throws against air I would be worried.

That isn't anything to be excited about.

It's encouraging but doesn't tell you how he will make decisions when the opposing team brings a corner blitz and he has about 2 to 3 seconds to make a decision with the ball. I think that QD is a little more mature in that area and that will be one of the main things that tip the scale in his favor. Both guys are accurate with great arm strength.
