The game plan on the defensive side was flawed. Lining up 2 yards off the line and allowing the o-line a running start was a disaster. It took our guys ability to be aggressive off the table. When they get to play aggressive, they'll be fine. That offense makes yo have to think. Thinking too much takes your aggressiveness and our strength, athleticism away or at least diminishes it. You saw that on the 2 point coversion when we played aggressive, we blew the play up.

I suppose it doesn't matter that they were gassed from being on the field for 3/4 of the game and still dug deep and got a stop when it mattered most? Twice! Go pee in the FF's Cheerios. We're trying to see the bright side over here.

Same argument said last year after Appy State. It came back to bite us.

Also color me shocked that this board all off season said Ga tech offense is easily prepared for with plenty of time it's those teams that only have 1 week to prepare that struggle. Shocked that has changed now

App state was all about game plan on offense. Defense played fine that game.

The app state part 2 argument is so dumb and lazy. It doesn't even make sense.

ppl on here hype up UGA and these other teams but yet they have been LOSING to GT lately. Meanwhile the Vols find a way to WIN and we still suck, we're soft, blah blah blah the same ol. Man this bs gets so old. Just stop complaining. We won and now we move on. Wont see that Offense again. Atleast let them play a regular offense and then make a decision but some on here wont even give them that chance.

You know damn well this board all off season said this O was easily prepared for with time. Suddenly it isn't. Lol. It was #theygoingtoleanr all preseaon. All we learned was this D still sucks

Fire all the coaches, revoke all scholarships, and cancel the rest of the season. Start over next year. We simply didn't win pretty enough. It's unacceptable.

Last year Tennessee lost 52 starts to injury. (Most in the nation.)

With Chance Hall, D.K. Jr and now Jennings, add in Josh Smith, Shy Tuttle and Austin Smith and the number is already at 38.

Talks about playcalling and the offense. Personally if there weren't a few drops the play calling would have looked a little better, but there were still some head scratchers. 2nd half was more of what we should expect, a healthy dose of Kelly.

I think the defensive game plan was horrible. That doesn't mean it will be that way each week for the rest of the season.

Your argument about App state has zero merit. Defense played great that game and the offense stalled. We also went on to blast Florida after that and beat UGA as well. Went toe to toe with top 10 Texas A&M before losing in overtime. The app state argument is beyond dumb.

This year doesn't touch it unless we end up losing a whole position unit.

Our defense was fine last year until we lost half the defense to injury. I wasn't pleased with the defense either. I think the game plan was seriously flawed. Not sure what games they watched to prepare. I think they'll do fine when it comes to a normal offense. I thinks it's stupid to use this game as a barometer of this be to come. I don't think it tells us much at all about this defense.
