7-5 or 8-4 still looks to be the case when you step back and look at everything.

Not including Florida, Butch seems to always lose a head scratcher loss and then wins one he shouldn't.

Are we really discussing if winning out besides Bama is enough to keep Jones?

This board has lost all of its sense of reality if that is even a topic.

It's a long season. We all need to take it one week at a time. Last week sucked as hard as any we are likely to ever endure. Time to move on.

Let's exercise some demons this week and beat the crap out of UMass.

There's no way we're firing a 10-2 coach. I just think people believe, reasonably, that if we can't beat a team as bad as Florida, it's going to be a tall order to win that many.

I say win the east regardless of how it comes about. I don't think we have to win out. That would mean beating Bama which ain't happening.

The only thing about that is I want JG to get reps with the ones. I would give QD a series or two the JG a series or two.

Since 2013 (when butch took over)

Tennessee is 3-15 as an underdog, and 29-6 as a favorite

Florida is 4-15 as an underdog, and 26-7 as a favorite

Georgia is 3-5 as an underdog, and 35-11 as a favorite

I still don’t think he will be fired, I firmly believe Butch has is belly full of East Tennessee and will be voluntarily moving on seasons end.

Practice squad players and true freshmen are quickly becoming our 2nd and 3rd strings with all of these injuries. Gotta imagine recruiting will take a hit as well, though certainly hope not.
