Dak was mostly recruited as a FB by other P5 teams, Mullen thought he could make a QB out of him.


MSU's main recruiting competition for Fitzgerald UTC. Mullen saw something in him.


That's super impressive, IMO.

We need a new thread. I enjoy this site for info and facts about UT football. I moved to the RF and then these Forum Talk threads were great. Everyone is absolutely entitled to their opinions, factual or not. It is a message board. But I am so sick of having to wade through countless posters opinions about how bad the coaches are, why they think we lost, who the next coach should be, yadda yards yards. Blah!

I enjoy UT football. I like to be up to date on what's going on with the team and players. But those posts are buried beneath post after post of ppl that legitimately think we will lose every other relevant game this season based on the UF game. And their ideas of how to fix it.

Good point.

I wish Abernathy would have done that when it was clear Cleveland had him burnt. 15 yard penalty. But with no time left at least you know if they'll be kicking a FG or throwing a Hail Mary

Watching the replay it occurs to me we are doing something very different with the "Cadence". It appears to be why Jones keeps jumping early. He at LG looks at the QB and the touches the centers leg to signal it's time to snap.

Is that something we have done before?

To think we wouldn't even be having this discussion if Hammy had just let Cutcliffe bring key members of his staff. We still wouldn't know who Derek Dooley is without Googling. And two generations of UT fans would have no idea what it was like to lose to UK.

Butch has made a lot of mistakes.

Recruiting is not one. He absolutely changed the roster. I hope he can turn this season around and win the division. I like Butch.

Yea we've done it before. I don't remember if we did it last year though. 2014 we did and I believe 2015 too.
