Now you're just lying. This is your response to my earlier post about not covering the spread.

Then you replied to another poster's comment about the spread being irrelevant and used my comment.

Again, don't reference a post by me unless you bring facts and proof.

Carry on.

The lol was a joke my friend. Surely you don't expect me to lie to avoid an argument??

For a few lone souls that waited til right up to kickoff the Vols did cash in for them.

Watching the replay it occurs to me we are doing something very different with the "Cadence". It appears to be why Jones keeps jumping early. He at LG looks at the QB and the touches the centers leg to signal it's time to snap.

Is that something we have done before?

We've been doing that for a while and it was much talked about last year and in 2015.

Do you even watch our games, Bruin? Sometimes I wonder lol

I have a hard time seeing Mullen leaving to come here. You just don't see coaching changes within the conference like that very often.

He is much more open to leaving now than he has been before to run a program with our resources. He knows he has hit his ceiling at Ms St in that division

Ha I wish we only had 4 heartbreaking losses the past 5 season. Not to mention the years prior😭

I saw the impossible. A perennial SEC West bottom feeder manhandle LSU. State didn't have Dak Prescott to do it either. Before last weekend. State beat LSU 1 time in 20 years. There is only a handful of kids on that team that aren't Mississippi boys. And those are generally leftovers from what Ole Miss, Bama, and LSU don't want. Mullen coached a less talented team to beat a more talented team. The guy is a good coach.

Ok...but far from being THE ONLY CHOICE. Think Currie will recognize that mentality? :wink2:

How fragile is this fan base? Don't get me wrong, Saturday was miserable for me. But if you thought Butch Jones was the guy before that once in a million play, I don't see how one terrible mistake by our backup safety changes anything for you. Yes, there were coaching errors in the game, but if that pass is broken up, we win in overtime and I'm pretty sure everyone's ok. That's why I'm confused by all the "Butch lost me this week" talk. We lost one game. In the craziest, narrowest way. If that's all it took, Butch never had you.

Here's what people are missing with Butch: he does all the hard things well. Recruiting is top notch. He runs a high character, academically stable program. His players would run through a wall for him, and his teams never quit.

Does he make mistakes? Of course, and our goal line offense makes me want to break my TV with my phone. But if we stay the course, his strengths will overcome his weaknesses. While it's frustrating that we should have a 4 game winning streak against the gators, and don't... The fact that we have a coach who's fielded a team that's outplayed them 4 years in a row is not lost on me. That's the hard part. The wins will come. Football is fluky.

Besides, eventually Butch's greatest strength (recruiting) will stop being offset by this ridiculous string of injuries. Is there any doubt we win that game with Kirkland? Jennings? TK Jr? Now McDowell is done and maybe Berry? Don't even get me started on last year's injury disaster. We've had some killer bad luck. Stay the course, build on the awesome 2018 class, and watch. Butch will get it done.

Just this lurker's 2 cents.

Anyone is coming if money is right. Ridiculous to believe otherwise. It's going to be up to John Currie to open the check book and give fans what they deserve.

That might have been the case ten years ago. It is no longer the case now. There are so many schools willing to pony up significant dollars that just throwing money at the guy you want is not nearly enough.

84 is more talented physically, but Calloway will end up being better because he's more intelligent. If CP could understand a playbook he would be unstoppable.

Even with his limited role, he has parlayed that ability to a good NFL career. I agree that if he could pick up more, he would be an All-pro receiver. His ability with the ball in his hands is just flat out crazy.

Not saying I want him but not saying I would hate him either...but thoughts in Jeff Fisher in college in general? Not specific to TN just as a college coach.

He has tossed around the idea in past before it was obvious his NFL time was over. i would think he still wants to be a HC and it would have to be in college like
Lovie Smith. Be kind of cool to see if he could get over his .500 hump somewhere in college lol

I think that he is the definition of mediocre as a coach. I would be much dismayed.

So, if he is signaling when to snap, that makes it even more ridiculous to jump. If he is doing something wrong and they didn't correct it, then that is on the coaches. If he was too gassed to keep his balance, as I heard someone suggest, then he should be out of the game. Three false starts in one game is unacceptable, especially when every one hurt more because they were in the red zone and one was at the 1.
