Bob Shoop just let out a sorta sad chuckle and said again for the second time in two years that he's never been apart of such an injury plagued team.

He said he doesn't know why we get so unlucky, it's not strength training or nutrition and most all injuries have been on fluke plays.

Also talking about the secondary and "IF" we get Evan Berry back.

He said since he's become the coordinator, our Achilles heel has always been giving up explosive game changing plays way too often.

Injuries have significantly lowered my expectations for the season. I think we're going to have a total repeat of last year, perhaps worse. And we also won't have the cushion of being 5-0 once the injuries truly take their toll on depth.

The game in Tuscaloosa could be Bama vs A&M 2014 bad if we keep losing starters every week.

Looking ahead to next year at the top talent: Recruits and players that could leave for the NFL (?).

QB: JG/QD(doubt both will be here), Nate McBribe, Penix(?), Martinez(?).

RB: Kelly(?), Chandler, Jordan, Fils-Aime, Dixon(?), Grant(?)

TE: Eli Wolf, Pope, Bumphus, Warren(?), Maybe Fant?

WR: Callaway, Jennings(?), Palmer, Johnson, Williams, Harris(?), Shocky(?), Byrd, Taylor(?), Murphy.

Oline: Hall, Richmond, Smith, Boulware, Jones, Mays(?), Tatum.

DT: Tuttle(?), McKenzie(?), Q, Crosby, Butler, Bennett, A Johnson, Litaker(?), Lawless(?).

DE: Kongbo, Taylor, Emerson(?), Phillips, Chatman(?), D Johnson, Gerald(?), Thaxton.

LB: Sapp, (RS McDowell?), Jumper, DKjr, Reid, Ignont, Gray, Smith, Flint(?), Page, Bituli

Safety: (TK redshirt?), Abernathy, Warrior, Jackson, dean(?), Harris(?),

CB: Gaulden, Ingle(?), Cross(?), Buchanan, Horn(?), Osborne, Labruzza, Shamburger, Bailey.

He had a better completion rate in the first half than the second. Yards in the 2nd half came from chunk plays from screens.

3rd quarter goalline and last series on goalline was 0-6. Rest of 4th he was pretty accurate. Should never have thrown that many times on goalline. Should run twice throw once each time

Does that mean that Dormady would have over-thrown him even more if he ran the right route? I respect Ainge and if that's what Callaway said, then so be it. We still could and should have overcome it and won the game.

I agree with EA. Callaway got both hands on the ball, so it was his play to make. And Dormady got hit as he was releasing the ball, which probably explains why it was high. When he can set his back foot and step into the throw he is very accurate; when he is under pressure and throwing off his back foot he loks as bad as any other QB throwing off their back foot. But I agree, we still could have won. We just cannot drop easy TD passes in the EZ, and Medley and the other guy have to be better with FG kicking. And Jack Jones can't be getting false start penalties at the opponent's 1-yard line.

I think the back to back years of injuries are unprecedented. Another issue is having to start burning redshirts. Maybe when we play LSU our Rohan Davey curse will finally be over!

Pretty awesome what the program has done for a lot of the kids and their families in Florida. Credit where credit is due.

A great reminder that Tennessee football is made up of real people. Well done Vols!

So CLS made adjustments? Interesting.

Yes, he started giving the ball to the RB's and letting them do damage(except inside the 10).

RB's had a total of 13 touches first half compared to 24 in the second. Which at the same time led to easier completion for Dormady. Hopefully in the future we let the run open the pass instead of what we did Saturday.

Awesome job, UT. IF Butch can’t win and keep his job after this year or next, I will miss what he brings to the program off the field. It’s not a coincidence that all the recruits say UT feels like home.

Students supposedly planning a walk out this Saturday for the game in protests of Jones. Makes me chuckle because there was probably never going to be more than 5000 students there anyway. lol

Last weeks Florida game had the feel of 98 Arkansas to me. A wave of momentum was on our side and we created the final turnover to give us the ability to have Kelly (like Travis Henry) just shove it down their throats.

Then coaches fudged it up and my ending went from dream to nightmare.

Thanks Butch.

Fyp

It did feel that way.

All Kelly had to do was hold onto that easy throw and UT would have been up 24-20. JK had a great game, but even he would say he has to catch the ball, and cannot get taunting penalties. Not sure how the coaches fudged up that last UT possession.
